I really felt for Brad until he decided to fight for custody of Abby. What chance in hell does he have to get her - and she clearly is happy at the ranch. He's holding close to his girls, cause they're all he has - which is sad. When Brad came he was the "stud" and women were clawing to get their hands on him (sometimes caging him!) and to see him go out like this is so sad.

There's still potential for him on this show. I saw it today.

I'm not thrilled about this whole pawn shop thing being the next arc in the Kay s/l. I just don't see it being definitive proof that she's Kay. it just seems like filler. The ring could have been on her hand for any number of reasons. Can't you just see Jill's reaction to the found ring - "See! The bitch stole Kay's ring!"

Paul and Nikki are such a good couple. I love that Paul is smart and how he communicates with Nikki. He's noble and honest which is nice to see on a soap.

Hopefully, Colleen's exit isn't far off after what happens to a certain someone next month...

Yeah, she's an Abbott, but her lack of storyline and lack of a sufficient American accent proves just how much she isn't needed. If they feel the need to recast a year or two from now to retool the character, then I'm all for it.

That said, I'm glad they're delving into the ring issue. Nikki did put a warrant out on it, it would be stupid for them to completely drop that angle. I doubt it's a whole arc, it seems to tie into something bigger, with Clint especially.

One thing I've noticed lately is that the some small stuff that might look like filler usually comes back and plays a role in something else later.

And counting me in as someone who couldn't stand Amber a year or so ago, and yet I really like her now, especially with Katherine.

What happened to the DNA test that Michael was suppose to run to prove she's Katherine? They're really starting to overkill the story because a simple DNA test is all that is needed. Paul and his bogus story today... needing Niki because only "she" will know once she talks to her... now Amber and the ring... it's starting to get ridiculous.

It really sucks and I blame Ashley 100%. She says she's trying to be understanding of Brad's feelings but she condescends to him each and every time. He has every reason to be upset because she sees that Victor is buying Abby's affections and she even called him on it. But since they're together now she wants them to be a family and from the looks of it she secretly wants Brad to step aside. Abby calling Victor "dad" is a slap in the face. If Brad had her support he wouldn't be looking so pathetic. GAH!

Not me!! Whoever takes the man down will be alright in my book.

I really hate what they're doing to Brad, I just hope they give him a hell of a storyline for his departure. Just another way to make me despise Victor even more.

Sorry Y&R_FAN, but Sursok's accent was JUST as bad as ever and no, she hasn't improved one bit. In fact, I think Haley Erin (the 14 year old NuAbby) is making her look like an amateur. If you ask me, I'd say that the reason they don't write for the Colleen character is because they realize Sursok is just not very good. Purely speculation though, and not everyone does daytime well.. For a while, they were unnecessarily sticking her into all of the CL scenes and having her being rude to everyone and now? Nothing! Although, I certainly hope the scenes with Colleen and JT aren't foreshadowing another attempt at Jolleen because the actress has bombed every other attempt at her having a shot in a relationship because she has no on screen chemistry. She looks at her uncle Billy like she wants to screw him and not to mention her incestuous looks at her dad (although, I can't fault the actress one bit for both!)

I love anything Chilly! Billy & Chloe put Lily and stupid ass Cane to shame. I think MAB knows what she has here with these two and putting them the focus in this quad is proving it!

Well, Colleen and J.T.

And while it's obvious that the Y&R team doesn't exactly want to use Tammin much, (Even Esther appeared more since November than she did, and that's saying something) why keep her there for so long? And doesn't Tammin feel bad about not being used (and I don't know what she's thinking if she ever read one of these boards).

I've got to agree. Hayley still managed to shine in those scenes. The other half is was it just seemed forced to have Colleen there. They've not used the character for months, and it just felt like it was more they had to use her and fill some sort of guarantee.

I didn't know how I'd feel about the Marge storyline, but I'm really enjoying it. I loved the Amber and Marge scenes, they were just great.

SOO glad someone else noticed Brad's half puffy coat he's been sulking around in--WTF?

Brad should have known that taking on the father role to one of Victor's spawns, was only going to end in him losing out. Victor has no interest in his spawns until they are out of their awkward child years.

Any chance that Phyllis some how causes Brad's

Is this Jack's cabin? Has it been used before?

    • I can't speak for all of Ryan's Hope, but I tried to watch it recently, and I found it difficult to get into. The overacting from some of the supporting/bit players was just too much. The show is not as fresh and vibrant as Edge of Night. I have Lisanti's book and wanted to watch some of the show before reading it, but the show is dated compared to other shows (Doctors and EON for ex.) that I found much more watchable and fresh. Perhaps, RH was more of its time than the other two. I don't know why I find RH so hard to watch.
    • From that time period, the one thing that was played for laughs, that stands out to me the most, was Cecile and Kathleen's pie fight, while that French can-can music played.
    • IKR! Tanya Turner, at one point, was EVERYTHING.
    • I can see both sides here. I don't believe that everything in that period was intended as comedy, but I think John Considine played the part in a very mustache-twirling way, as did Marcus Smythe as Peter until near the end, and that did come across as the material not being taken seriously. And I think the same is true of some of the treatment of other stories. The Sin Stalker, for instance, has that incredibly batshit material with Crystal Gayle being attacked. It's pure WTF, and something that, if done in more recent decades, would probably end up having the part played by a Drag Race queen or a Real Housewife.  The main takeaway I have from that period is how little those running the show cared. There's just a callousness. And that leads to a real cynicism onscreen.
    • I think too many of Mary's storylines were absolutely depressing. A lot of that  though was mitigated by her relationship with Scott, Cheryl, Ada and other characters though. I'm one of the few who preferred Mary with Reginald and wish that they had made Reginald less of a villain and made the Reginald/Mary/Vince triangle more of a battle and less a foregone conclusion. Mary choosing Reginald had much more storyline possibilities. What if what if what if...
    • Thank you for the info about SFT related to EON. I thought about adding SFT to my watch list, but I don't know if it's the kind of soap for me. I know very little about it except for a few of the actors and that it was on two different networks. I also know based on this board or somewhere else that the two Lizas both died young from cancer. Warms my heart to see so many EON people on SFT because they are such good performers and I wish they had been moved to other shows. Perhaps, they were and I'm just not aware of it.
    • There was a few times when Silk Press Sheila came into her apartment after going grocery shopping.. she could have been unloading her items as she talked to Eva or Ted and saw a few of the products on the counter that are P & G products.
    • I enjoyed today's show. I liked seeing Mona again and her confronting both Eva and Leslie. I did feel for Eva, especially at the end of their confrontation, when Mona said "Good", when Eva mentioning losing everybody she cared about. Though, I can understand Mona's anger and Leslie deserved every bit of her ire. Both Leslie/Eva betrayed her especially Leslie. Mona put her both her professional and personal relationships with the Duprees on the line and what Leslie/Eva did put her in an awkward position. Speaking of Leslie she continues to act trifling and caring only about herself and her needs. At this point, it only seems like she cares about herself and wanting Ted for herself. I'm not even sure how if her feelings for Mona were ever sincere, though she called out about people turning against her after Mona left. I have yet to see Leslie really display that she sincerely cares about anyone, and I do think that needs to change at some point. I enjoyed Nicole and her scenes today with Leslie/her children. I also like that Martin took a more sensible approach regarding how the family should handle Eva. He did straight up acknowledge she was his sister, and it seemed like he was opened to up to accepting her. I think he will be among the first in the family to soften towards/accept her. And in spite of the way she was introduced into their lives, he will end up being happy to have two little sisters. I wonder again about Kat/Eva being twins/Eva being Nicole, when Martin/Kat brought up them being the same age and Kat even used the word "twins" in disbelief, when Martin suggested they shared a connection from the beginning.
