My comments about Monday's US episode:

Esther is still as dumb as she was almost 20 years ago when she dated Norman, who killed Rex.

Amber is adorable. I've had a soft spot for her since she debuted on B&B. She and Kay are so cute together.

Karen is starting to become creepy. "Mama Karen"? WTF, she's been Ana's foster mother for two weeks.

Tyra is unpredictable. Was she really just in the moment when she kissed Neil, or is she trying to seek revenge on Karen?

Ashley/Brad/Victor/Adam/Abby - whatever

Karen really IS weird... I was totally shocked when she asked Ana to call her "Mama Karen"... Maybe she's losing it...

And Esther IS stupid! LOL

This is the first time I have enjoyed Amber.

Good show.

I agree. I believe we're seeing the end game for Karen, who was frosty for so long, and cannot bear children of her own (well, she could, but she might get cancer...)

I think she'll have a psycho arc, then leave the show, bringing to a definitive conclusion one of the last of LML's creations. That would only, then, leave Ethan HurriCANE.

Since MAB seems to write variations of Bill Bell's storyline, do you think that the Karen/Neil/Tyra saga may become a variation of the Lauren/Scott/Sheila storyline?

Eileen Davidson looked gorgeous in Monday's episode and at least 10 years younger than she actually is.

I also enjoyed Victor and Adam's jail scenes, like when Adam got dragged away, Victor's theme started to play.

Karen is finally getting really interesting and I did get a creepy vibe from her. Nia Peeples a really solid actress, she's very underrated.

Loved Amber and Katherine's scenes on Monday's US episode. Amber has a lot more dept and heart when she's with Katherine.

And again, the background music used in this episode was great.

Good show overall.

Please no. :( Karen should NEVER go that route. Karen is love. Karen should be on the show FOREVER.

That would only, then, leave Ethan HurriCANE.

And Jana.

I agree, Karen has the potential to become a 'tentpole character'. NP has a very natural vibe to her, and although Karen has no personality (as all of LML's creations) I like her because she seems, duh!, normal.

Eileen Davidson is looking fantastic, Botox is magic in the right hands.

I'm all for Karen becoming a possessive bitch with a few screws loose. Nia Peeples would rock it.

I LOVED the way Jess Walton said "You're Laaaayyyydeeee, how 70s" it reminded me a lot of how she used to recite Jill's lines when she was Mrs John Abbott and she was dealing with Mamie. Jess Walton is fabulous, the best of the best.

Victor vs Adam scenes were great.

Love the background music throughout the episode!

Why should they pull down Karen just to prop up Lame Ass Tyra. I am so sick of characters being sacrificed because the audience isn't rooting for who TPTB tell us we should root for.

^^^Wow! I couldn't agree more. I've seen very few people that like the Tyra character but love Karen and yes Nia would rock as a Dru(ish) character on the brink!

It's not even that, though. Karen was probably the least-talked about character for over a year before Tyra and Ana debuted on the show. Viewers were nonchalant about Karen's presence; she was just there. Now, there are viewers who actively are rooting for Karen above Tyra and are now more invested in the Neil and Karen storyline.

Don't forget that Nia Peeples was almost written off the show last spring before MAB decided to introduce Eva Marcille. Karen had already left Genoa City and moved back to NYC.

Exactly. She was removed from the contract listing and her final appearance was marked as recurring. And then all of a sudden they asked her to come back.

I still like Karen. I like her better than Tyra. And when they add even more depth, I'll like her even more.

Well, of course, it was Sally McDonald. Actually all other directors as doing okay. Mike Denney is wonderful, Andrew Lee is actually learning how to do great, but only Dean LaMont doesn't seem to be doing his homework.
