Members brimike
Yeah, that "And" credit was part of DH's contract. It was specific only to her. It'll disappear once she's gone.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Wayne Northrop got it too when he and Dee returned in 1991. But really, what a silly distinction to ask for, but I guess stranger clauses have worked their way into countless other contracts.
Members tylerbo20
i think thats how you become the star of a show. if i was an actor on a show id definatly want my name to appear last and with and included its the last name the viewers would read and tylerbo20 as so and so....you would remember them. Members Rakesh
I don't think the majority of the audience stick around to read the credits. I know I don't. Not to mention how small the texts are. Only on SOAPnet the text is kinda big.

Members DaytimeFan
The 'with Deidre Hall as Marlena Evans' is an ego thing. It doesn't make anyone a star, she already was one and that's the only reason she got that put into her contract in the first place!
Members SFK
Denise Alexander had that when she was on Another World, not Vicky Wyndham, not Linda Dano, but Denise who had been a big daytime star in the '70s. Then of course there's "and Lisa - Eileen Fulton" I guess Rosemary Prinz and Beverlee McKinsey (both totally deserved it) are the only two who had special billing in the opening credits? Members All My Shadows
Love of Life credited the day's main cast members in its opening credits in the 50s. There's several episodes on YouTube where you can see it. "Paradise Bay" credited its two stars, Keith Andes and Marion Ross (Mrs. C!) in its opening too.
