Members Wendy
Yep, I didn't know Guza remembered the hospital existed, either! Go figure. And while repetitive as most GH disasters are, I must admit, when they do them, GH does the "big stuff" on a grand scale: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xIOTfUQMfI ETA on 1/13: New Soapnet preview of the 1/15 episode, courtesy of Soapnet on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlWtmsSg-II

Members jjjg
Reminded me of the virus story, with countdown clock and everything. ABC issued a press release to go with the promo: PRESS RELEASE - DISASTER STRIKES ON ABC'S GENERAL HOSTPITAL NO ONE IS SAFE... THE CLOCK IS TICKING... A DISASTROUS CRISIS HITS ABC'S "GENERAL HOSPITAL" Viewers Will Need to Watch Each Episode as Clues Are Revealed After Time Is Turned Back; Storyline Will Coincide with the Return of Emmy® Winner Natalia Livingston to Port Charles On the Thursday, January 15 episode of ABC's award-winning "General Hospital," Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) will rush into the operating room yelling to colleagues Dr. Monica Quartermaine, Dr. Matt Hunter, Nurse Elizabeth Webber and Nurse Epiphany Johnson, among others, to stop a pending surgery with a mysterious patient. Without giving away much else, the clock will be turned back nine hours and each subsequent episode for the next nine days will begin with scenes that will reveal more clues to what is about to happen in the hospital. On Wednesday, January 28, the reason for Dr. Drake's ultimatum to his staff will be revealed and, from this point through February, medical staff, patients and visitors will be affected as a major disaster will strike the corridors of the hospital and make its way throughout Port Charles. In addition, this medical crisis storyline will coincide with the anticipated return of Emmy® winner Natalia Livingston as Rebecca, an entirely new role, on January 15. Both announcements were made by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group. "We are very excited to start off the New Year with an exciting and captivating storyline that will engage the audience with all of our main characters," says executive producer Jill Farren Phelps. "In addition, I am thrilled Natalia has returned home to our show to add a new dimension with an entirely new character that will certainly turn heads with the town's residents." Natalia Livingston played the role of Emily Quartermaine, the youngest adult member of the dysfunctional family for over four years, earning a Daytime Emmy in May 2005 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress. A graduate of Emory University, Natalia was discovered by an agent while working in the gardening department at a Home Depot in Hollywood. Fluent in Spanish, she has appeared in a variety of different projects, including "Pop Star," "West of Brooklyn" and "Rough Hustle." Natalia will be seen in the film "Fight or Flight," slated to be released in 2009. "General Hospital" airs at 3:00 p.m., ET, 2:00 p.m., PT on the ABC Television Network, and on SOAPnet at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Recently awarded a record tenth Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Daytime Drama, the program celebrated 45 years of broadcasting on April 1, 2008, and is the longest-running dramatic serial on ABC, having aired over 11,000 episodes. "General Hospital" consistently rates as one of the top-rated Daytime programs in the key demographic of Women 18-49. "General Hospital" was created by Frank and Doris Hursley. Jill Farren Phelps is the executive producer. Mary O'Leary, Mercer Barrows and Michelle Henry are producers. Bob Guza is the head writer.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Can they stop it with this turning back time crap already? It worked once, and won't again. Give it up Guza. Not only is he ripping off one of his stunts now, but two of them.
Members AddictedToSoaps
I agree. It was fine the first time, but he doesn't need to use it with every stunt. I'm actually excited for this story though, I LOVED the virus story back in 2006. It might be a rip-off of it, but at least this seems to be hospital centric.
