not every person waits. not every person goes right into it. philip & stepahnie, after a few months of being in eachothers orbit and casually dating almost had sex, but decided to wait and see where the relationship goes. i dont see how it was rushed.

and i dont see how philip/stephanie are any diff than any other couple on any other soap thats been tossed together in the last 5 years.

Word to that, she's been on a lot more recently and I applaud whoever has made that decision. Suzanne Rogers is DAYS' greatest actress and as far as I'm concerned she's the matriarch of the show and I hope that for as long as DAYS is on the air, Suzanne is there and on contract!

I watched. As a J/M fan, I was very disappointed in their exit story. The Charlotte angle was so stupid - she's upset at Marlena because of her daddy issues. Who the hell is Charlotte? Who the hell is her father? What a horrible beat in the storyline. Then we get some lame ass hospistal wedding. Okay dokie. Whatever. I knew Dena Higley wouldn't do them justice. 23 + years and we couldn't even get one episode dedicated to them. *sigh* I'm gonna watch the affair storyline and Maison Blanche again.

And we had to watch another digusting Chloe/Dr. Loser sex romp. For the love of God, please let this lead to Daniel leaving!!!!

So that's it for them, right? It seemed awful abrupt. A wedding and they invited Roman. What about Bo, Steve and Abe? How many years did Marlena have to know Maggie and Hope that she declined to invite them? I guess they didn't rate. Neither did Kate or Lexi. And so Marlena never says goodbye to Sami also I presume. And why did Stefano act like he was thinking "good for you, John. You're gonna make it after all." ? Where was Tony?

I feel this is a major milestone in daytime history because lets face it, after Susan Lucci, the next biggest name in daytime is Deidre Hall. And when the history books get written and people look at what was the telltale sign, it will be the firing of Deidre Hall that was the first domino that fell. GL is probably the next. I hope both DHs land somewhere else.

I've watched Days for over 25 years. I could take or leave John and Marlena as a couple on the show. How long ago was it announced they were fired? This is the story them came up with for their exit? J&M really weren't on much until their final week. I agree that it was quick and abrupt.

Dee and Drake deserved such a better send off than what Corday gave them. For all the years that they both gave to the show and to have it end with a hospital wedding while John is paralyzed. Very disappointing indeed. I guess the fans are supposed to be thrilled John got his memory back but I wanted much more.

There was only one piece of that whole episode that I truly thought was wonderful.

Joe Mascola & Drake Hogestyn have been working together for many years, off and on. They have had their run-ins BTS, from what I have heard, but, I thought it was beyond cool the way Stefano looked at John, John looked at him, and they smiled at each other. Stefano looked like he would truly miss John, his "Pawn", his advesary, and his family. That one smile from him to John almost seemed like he said to him "Good luck, and take care of yourself, and my Queen Of The Night".

The rest? Crap.

On top of the fact, Dee has been there off and on for 30 years. Drake has been there since summer 1985.

I could not believe that their last scene together, probably for good, was her kissing him in his hospital bed and then a fade to black.

WTF was that?!

I would think that the bigger name was Genie Francis/Laura Spencer. Those folks who never watched a soap knew who Luke and Laura were. Heck they had effing Elizabeth Taylor at their wedding.

Anyhoo, I watched and thought the best part was the moment between John and Stefano. That's the relationship I'll truly miss.

I also hate that

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
