OLTL: Let's recall some past characters.

As much as I love OLTL, there was a time when they would introduce an entire string of contract characters who pretty much had no real background and proved ultimately insignificant, but I guess that's true of pretty much all the soaps. Because of this, there are so many characters (both memorable and forgettable) that this show had over the years that it's very easy to overlook many of them. But how good is your memory? See which one's you can recall. Feel free to go back as far as 6 months, 6 years, all the way back to 1968, or anywhere else in between. Don't name anyone currently on the show. I'll start with some easy ones: Tina Roberts, Cain Rogan, Cord Roberts, Carlo Hesser. I can name many, many more but I'll start with just those 4. Next!

Delila Ralston - the yummy Shelly Burch!

Years ago, after she had left the show, I remember reading in one of the rags that Shelly had been been brainwashed by a cult and was living in some kind of commune. Later, I read that she had died. I was horrified, as I loved Delila and Burch. Well, in 1999, I went to the the OLTL fan club luncheon, and I asked Bob Woods if any of it was true. He shook his head in disgust, and told me that he had heard about those rumours too, and that they were not true. He was happy to tell me that Shelly was (and remains), alive and well and never joined a commune. Where does this stuff get started?

Delilah was so pretty, and she could sing.

I remember her vividly, as well as her aunt, played by the doctor from Dark Shadows. Also, Elizabeth Sanders, Jaime, and Lord Henry I loved. Brenda and Steve Holden, Michael and Alicia Grande, Wanda and Larry Wolek (his disgraceful erasure from the show is the biggest sin OLTL ever committed). Herb Kallison, loved him.
