I didn't know whether to post this in "Politics", "Discuss the Soaps", or "CBS/Paramount Primetime", because it fits all three categories.

Although this is politically-motivated, this directly affects Paramount, and the fallout could possibly affect CBS programming if the Paramount merger falls through.

The issue is that Paramount is trying to merge with Skydance, but Trump was upset about how the CBS News show "60 Minutes" aired its interview of Kamala Harris, and Trump sued CBS about that.
Trump is trying to hold the merger hostage, unless CBS pays him ten billion dollars.
Trump claimed that CBS unfairly edited the Kamala Harris interview before broadcasting it.
Since that time, CBS released the transcrips and raw UNEDITED video of the Kamala Harris interview publicly, so I don't know why this lawsuit persists.

Despite it all being released, and it being clear that nothing significant was edited out,
Trump is still suing CBS and the Paramount/Skydance merger is still being threatened.

Thus the Paramount executives caving to Trump's anti-DEI agenda on Feb. 26.

Trump defending Putin.  Vance defending Trump.
Zelenskyy factchecking Trump.  
Vance calling Zelenskyy disrespectful because Zelenskyy didn't bow down with gratitude.
Trump babbling about Hunter Biden's laptop.

This is unprecedented. I could not believe my eyes. And ears. I'm horrified. The way Vance raised his voice and started acting like this is some type of bar brawl.

Lindsey Graham can shut up too. The mere sight of him makes me nauseous. He wants Zelensky to apologize.... For what??!!

It was bullying 101. The -why are you not wearing a suit- comment was like from a high school mean boys scene... like a bunch of evil kids tormenting another kid about his clothes. And then... Vance started all of it... he raised his voice... which signaled to Trump that the tirade should begin. 

I've never in my entire lifetime seen something like this. It felt wrong, it felt irresponsible - there are so many people that are going to be affected by this tonight. You can't even imagine. 

I am really horrified and don't know how I'll sleep tonight. I have to be honest. I am not drinking anymore, I've been sober for months... but right now I feel like I want to go out and buy a bottle. I won't, don't worry. But that's how distressed I feel.

How cynical, how brutal, how inhumane. My husband is a very strong Ukraine supporter and has many Ukrainian friends. And right now... he is in another Universe too. I've never seen him like that.

They want to kill us with fear (as well as literally killing us with poverty and abuse).
I refuse to let them trample me with fear.  I mean I have to remind myself every five minutes to not succumb to fear. It's really hard. But I won't let them take my sanity!

You are right. But... I am not that strong. At least in this moment. Not gonna lie. And tonight I'm really distressed. If anyone finds my posts unbearable - please put me on ignore. That's how it is. I just need my husband to calm down and then he'll help me calm down too.

I just pray that this really doesn't mean what I think it means (not gonna type it). I just pray that all of this can somehow be saved. It's probably impossible at this point... but hope dies last.
