The affair was horrid, but I do not think it was rushed at all. This underlying back and forth went on for months, what with Brad trying to support Little Nate while Neil was off drinking, and Olivia trying to support Ashley and Brad through the cancer ordeal. It was kinda written as if their feelings crept up to them (Olivia was defo shocked when Dru asked her what was going on with Brad and denied anything was going on). I didn't like the idea of the affair from even then, but that's how it was written. Now, what another person did with the affair after he took over... well, that's a whole other point.
