Well, why wouldn't that be repeated?

Two different people asked John about it and I'm glad they felt the need to focus on it as it drives the point home about John not being like everyone else and being disconnected from everyone else. As for mentioning the toxic being a hallucinogen, again when it's part of the situation. You have various characters affected so they are all going to wonder about things as far as what is going on. It only adds to the chaos going on. I don't think it's anything to bitch about at all and I'm shocked that you are using anything to do with JER to criticize anything since we all know he's your hero.

When we start seeing constant flashbacks of things that happened five minutes ago (and while there have been flashbacks with Higley they have been nowhere near as bad as JER's stints) and start seeing magnetic floors and weather machines, then I think JER comparisons can start being tossed around. JMO. Back to lurkdom I go.

When we have to be told 4 four times that the toxin be a hallucinogen and if John has to explain two times in the span of like 20 minutes why he's not affected by it - that's lazy script writing (or lazy breakdown writing if it's in the breakdowns).

Yeah, he's my hero () but I know his faults and repetitive dialogue is one of them.

Well, I don't remember JER having 6 minutes of flashbacks during a 9 minute act, and they were flashbacks that we've seen many times.

It wasn't 4 times. It was two. Lucas mentioned it once and it was someone else that did too (I think it was Tony) so your exaggerating. Sounds like your nitpicking. Why wouldn't various people wonder why John isn't being affected or what kind of situation they were dealing with pertaining to the vapors? I would be complaining if characters weren't questioning it. In fact, I hope others do tomorrow. It's only realistic and it's not lazy at all. It's not like they are all in the same room so they can hear the others ask.

As for the 6 minute flashback, I beg to differ. I have all of JER's both stints on tape (why I still have the second run on tape is beyond me) and I've seen them enough times to know he did that many times. Plus, Higley only did it once but, of course, she gets bashed brutally for it. I bet if good old Ron C. did it, you would try to justify it somehow.

Brimike, you are one poster that I miss. I miss many here but I have no desire to actively post here. I won't get into why but I'm sure some of the reasons are pretty obvious.

By the way Toups, I know I'm coming off harsh and I'm sorry if you take offense. It just bugs me that the show is delivering what people wanted for a long time yet there is still nitpicking going on.

Tony to Anna: "It's probably those vapors, they have toxins that can almost induce anything, hallucinations, extreme anger."

John to EJ: "It's probably the vapors, some hallucinogen."

Lucas to Chloe: "It must be the vapor, it's the the vapors. It's some kind of hallucinogen or something."

John to Tony: "Stefano couldn't be far it Chloe saw him, then again, she could hallucinating from the fumes."

Okay, the forth one is a bit of a stretch. LOL

I'm complaining because John explained to EJ in Act 4 and then John explained it again in Act 7. If you're going to repeat it, do it the next epsiode for those viewers who didn't see today's episode, or do in the episode after, but not 3 Acts apart!

I would LOVE to see that Act!

Trust me, if he or JER, or anyone else did a 6 minutes worth of flashbacks in one act, I'll give them hell for it too.

Of course I'm not offended. This is a discussion about the show. Yeah the show is good, but I'm certainly not going to stop pointing out my dislikes.

My point Toups is that it wasn't the same characters. It was about showing different characters' reactions to certain things. That is why I can't see why anyone would complain about it. If a character had repeated the same thing constantly or if they had all been in the same room and heard it addressed once, fine. However, they are all isolated so it makes sense they would all have a chance to react and wonder out loud about it.

If I could show you an act (actually, acts since it happened alot with JER) I would but I don't know how to upload anything to a computer LOL.

I don't have a problem with anyone pointing out dislikes but I just see this as nitpicking, plain and simple. I think the situation the characters are in and the specifics of it call for what your complaining about. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

Do you know what was happening and approximate date? I probably have it on tape too.

I'm surprised be this show at the moment.

I don't know if its good or really familiar and thats why I like watching it. Once again they show how dumb these characters can be like Patch not instantly thinking of taping over the vent. Or Kayla just walking in, asking whats going on while the door closed behind her. Or someone like John staying by Marlena's side the whole time. Its the simple dumb things like that, that has me shaking my head but at the same time its all too familiar in a way they always act during a plot with Sefeno.

Yeah, those were some of my other frustrations with today's episode.

Another one is Stefano going to see Marlena.....then he leaves.......then goes to see Marlena again......then he leaves........then he goes to see Marlena for the 3rd time in the episode - today's breakdown writing was just really bad. It was really choppy and just didn't flow. Hopefully tomorrow's breakdown will be better.

I didnt find ti to repeat too much. otherwise how is everyone supsoefd to know whats going on? id much rather ahve several co nvos about it than have superjohn call a meeting and let everyone know. lol.

Stefano went to see Marlena so many times because he knew if he stayed in there long enough someone would catch him. He wanted to taunt here but he wasn't stupid enough to just sit there for an hour LOL. People did keep going back and checking on her so I can see why he would do that.

God, why am I posting? I'm supposed to be lurking LOL.

I recall it only happened during his second stint. He had flashbacks during his first but not like this. I think I was watching some stuff from 2005 (why I don't know). I think one time I saw it was around late January of that year. I know John was an addict around then so it had to be around that time. I know I watched a few episodes and I noticed it happened more then a few times. I know it happened alot during the Stan story too.

I watch so much old Days, my mind gets fuzzy so I'm trying to be specific but I probably have to go back and view the tapes to be more specific and I'm too tired for that LOL.

Well, I have to say since last week, DAYS has started to feel like how I remember when I first got into it. Stefano is back, already causing ruckus with none other than John & Marlena. Even on Friday, we had Bo & Hope's re-wedding and with everyone present(as was typical), in drops the reveal about hiding evidence. The cliffhanger today was also great, as being spoiler free, I didn't see it coming. This is all a serious throwback to the DAYS I love. I mean, is Higley still writing this show? If I didn't know any better.... Now, there were some things noticeably sketchy about the breakdown of the episode and the way some characters were acting, but I for one don't watch soaps in the hope that they parallel real life situations. I am willing to suspend disbelief for 45 minutes. Essentially, this is the type of show I miss and I am just going to enjoy it as long as it lasts.
