There's a huge difference between Tracey and Tammin. Tracey can actually act. These writers are wasting her talent and when I saw her at a signing a week and a half ago and mentioned I wanted to see more of Lauren, she said she wished they would use her more like they used to. She also felt that they would not be getting heavy into Michael's father story until late September due to actor vacations. Still when they do give her juicy material like PPD and Fen's kidnapping she always runs with it and steps up to the challenge. Tammin has yet to step up in any scene, and I actually feel embarrassed that she is so bad on a show with so many good actors. I don't get why she is still with the show.

I know Tracey is a better actress. I used her as an example specifically for that reason because every little scene she is in doesn't feel like a throwaway, unlike Tammin's scenes, which always do.

Ex.: Yesterday's scene with Michael at Indigo.

Nice fun show today. BTW i'm finally coming out of the closet. I'm a Y&R fan!

Is it just me or should the actress who plays Colleen should b in an Outback Stakehouse ad? When did Collen live in in the Land down under?

I agree about EH as Chloe. She is being wasted acting opposite the boring Cane and Lily. VB is improving but from where she was that isn't saying much. She has good chemisty with CE (Adam) but is still very limited as an actress and can be out right laughable as the ADA. She does well opposite decent actors to prop her. Emily O'Brien can acts circles around Vail Bloom. EOB can play the drama or the quirky humor. She can also pull at the heartstrings. VB is better than Tammin but ranks close to CK.

For some reason, EOB slipped my mind. Jana is love :wub: I love the quirkiness of this character and you're right, she can illict empathy from me with just a look on her face.

Add her to one of my fave younger actresses list. I stand corrected on that point. BUT I still stand by my Vail Bloom love as well (especially when she's with CE):wub:

I would like to see Nina - Tricia Cast - back on the show. Stir things up a bit....

I would love to see Nina back too in the form of Tricia Cast. So she can take on Faux/Pod/Fake Phillip.

Wouldn't work. Nina progressed to a great mature character, so she would't fit that description. Loved her and would like to see her angle with Jill & Kay. BUT Nina also means Cricket who is far from returning to GC. This would make a Nina comeback high risk because she would probably linked to all newbie-land or mis-written.

A Mac return however, YES! But NOOOOOOO to Eden Riegel, one of those Home Depot Emmy winners. Just don't like her.

To clarify my point about Colleen: She might be a mere prop in many scenes but when they really do give her something to act on, Colleen just looks foolish and unconvincing. Therefore they should either stick on using her as first name Crimson Lights waitress or better just ship her off and recast. B)

But back on topic:

Chloe, Jana and "Ambahh" ;) - love them interacting vice versa.

My verdict on that Victor story is still out: TGVN and tight black Ts plus that cheesy set-up à la Mexicana. I love and hate it at the same time. LOL!

My eyes are very relieved BTW that Josh Morrow has decided on keeping this un-pervert look and even finds a razor every now and then these days.

I quoted your whole post but Cricket doesnt need to return to have Nina back on the canvas. Having Jill , Kay and Pod Phillip would be enough for Nina's return. No need for Cricket to return.

And I really don't want to offend the actress or one particular user here but the portrayal is a huge part of this problem. She's effing awful - and I've to roll my eyes for the whole time as soon as AwfulAustralianFauxColleen shows up for a scene.

Actress and character put a a capital A into annoyance! <_< Why is she going off on Amber recently? And in such a laughable way?

AwfulAustralianFauxColleen really is one of the last relicts of the horrendous LML Y&R and needs to be good-bye-kissed ASAP. Right now I would not even care if they killed Colleen off...

They both had some good s/ls. TS...not so much and while that can be blamed on the writers, it also falls on the actress because I think TPTB see that she just can't even being apart of a major s/l and just seem to be waiting until they get the green light to fire her or something and are basically giving her some bullshit so she'll meet her minimal episodes and be done with her.

Either that, or they are happy with TS (which they clearly are, hence the Emmy nod) and simply can't think of what to do with the character...

My first choice for a Mac recast would be Emmy Winner Eden Riegel!
Eden would also make amazing Colleen recast.

I don't want Eden Riegel on Y&R because despite her apparent talent (and I don't mean to sound shallow), I just cannot stand to look at her. She's hideous. Those cheekbones... ugh. And she especially shouldn't be used to replace the likes of Sursok or Kimsey, who have both talent AND looks in spades. JMO, of course.

You wouldn't be saying that if you had seen Tammin in her last soap role, which she won awards for.

Also, Beth is a vet, so it's really not fair to compare Tammin to her. <_<

y&rfan... Emmy nominations mean NOTHING.

And if they are happy with Tammin, it's because they don't want to write for her and just want to use her two or three times a month. For nothing. They don't care about the character.

They seem to be writing for her now...

Wow. And it only took them a whole year...... still, I don't think they'll do much with her. If they do, I badly want to see that fire that you want us to see in her. For now, in a WHOLE year she hasn't proved it. Maybe it's the writers, maybe it's the acting... but it's just not there.

Based on the positive comments here, I watched today's episode. It could barely keep my attention. IMO, the show is drifting back to what it was pre-Sabrina days. Jana and Kevin haven't had a story since she was released from prison and now their wedding is being made into a big deal. Uh? I have seen Gloria and Jeffrey's act before and know what, I still don't care because Gloria is never going to be exposed.

Chloe is so great, but Y&R still refuse to focus on her and her machinations. I'm not interested in Cane's angst. I want to know why Chloe is doing what she is doing. What is her story? Her motivation? Give her character a backstory. She is worth the investment.

It was great to see Traci though. I might get sucked backed in if the Abbotts are reconstituted, but I know better than to have any hope that will ever happen.

Ah the negativity... it gets on my nerves. I'm just glad it's going great as opposed to earlier this year.

Well, with

Billy

returning next month and Colleen finally getting a storyline, it seems they're headed in that direction. I also wouldn't be surprised if Ashley returns as a regular by the end of the year.

Everyone is probably going to disagree with me (that seems to be the pattern), but I just saw today's show and I can definitely see chem between TS and Michael Graziadei. I also think she has a good mother/daughter rapport with Beth Maitland.

LOL! Last time I checked this was a message board where all opinions were welcome or were the rules change to accommodate your nerves? Of course, you could have just ignored my post to protect your nerves so clearly your nerves can stand a lot so I'll just keep posting my opinions.

Oh no Ann, I don't mind. I like to hear everyone's opinions. That's why they call it a message board, a forum. I'm just posting my opinion, like you're posting yours.

And please calm down. I never said anything against you. No need to suddenly jump up. It's called an opinion for a reason.
