Administrator Toups Posted August 16, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted August 16, 2008 Cavic's coach just filed a protest. I don't see how the touch pad can by wrong though.
Members jcar03
^^Yeah, Touch Pad Doesn't Lie. It was extremely close but Cavic took too long to hit the wall.
Members Laurie
A protest is being filed. I don't get why the medals are being issued right now..shouldn't they have waited? Oh well wouldn't be the Olympics without this type of drama. LOL
Members jcar03
Cavic doesn't seem upset during the award. They did the award ceremony because it sounds like they had denied the request. I like how Michael Phelps mom has fans asking for her picture.
Administrator Toups Posted August 16, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted August 16, 2008 Looks like they ruled out the protest.
Members jcar03
That was very nice of Dara Torres to help out that swimmer whose suit was torn.
Members SnCCorinthos4ever
DITTO to that. I do remember in the early 90's an Aussie swimmer became the 2nd person to swim under the 1500 metre's and break the world record, he touched the pad but it never registared. They did protest but the simple fact was that he didn't hit the touch pad hard enough. In those days you really had to hit it and had to do it on the black part. The touch pad's are so sensitive these day's that it doesn't take much to stop them at all. So now there can be no dispute. And you can hit it anywhere in that area.
