I was totally joking about Lauren Koslow, she's the last person who'd be usurping power, she's a nice, happy, uncomplicated woman who does her job and goes back to her ranch day in and day out, although she would have known Ed Scott from her Y&R days wouldn't she? But I kid, it is NOT Lauren Koslow, I'd be stunned if it was.

My bet is actually Allison Sweeney or Dee Hall, heavy on Dee.

And yeah, Brad Bell, for all his faults, is a good choice for Y&R.

i think it would be a diva that is actually on air the most...kate lk would give herself a great story with vivian and victor lol..not her granddaughter...as for dh wouldnt she know who to write her own character and give her some screen time more of once a week? its probably alison sweeny or chelsea.

ETA - I spoke to a WGA friend this morning and this was his take on it:

He thought it sounded more like Higley was trying to diffuse the WGA investagation into her scabbing by using bullsh!t disinformation to take the heat off herself. I guess if it works for Carl Rove and Bush. Also, if she can do an end-run and discredit Scott, then his testimony regarding her to the WGA won't have the same merit. He thought it was a very calculated and desperate move by Higley.

This sounds plausible. I just can't believe this is a battle the WGA would choose, and I can't say I have the highest opinion of Higley.

I knew since SON wasn't saying a word that it had to be bad. And my suspicions were confirmed unfortunately. :(
