Members R Sinclair
I think daytime actors need to get over their own egos and realize that there is nothing derogatory about an actor referring to soaps as a training ground -- because it is. Members bellcurve
Ronn Moss isn't THAT bad. People are too hard on him.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Well, THIS was expected.
Members bellcurve
LOL. I don't even find him to be all that attractive, so it's not a looks thing. And Ronn Moss gets on my nerves ALOT with his overwrought, melodramatic hamming, but he has had moments where he really tries. I think if Brad wrote something for Ronn Moss(other than Brooke/Ridge, Taylor/Ridge, Ridge/Nick) he would at least try.
Members R Sinclair
Here's one... I'm sick of the Brian Frons scapegoating. ABCD was having problems long before he showed up. "Shop the Soaps," anyone?
Members bellcurve
:shudders: And not even logo merchandise. "Wear Laura's cheapass Wal-Mart engagement ring. Call 'Shop the Soaps.'" Another unpopular opinion: Passions was never originally meant to be Mary Harman 2.0 soap opera parody. I think it "developed" into a MH/Sunset Beach hybrid overtime, due to the Tabitha/Timmy element and the bad acting for which there was no cure. They definitely attempted to play it straight the first two, even three years of the show. But the sad thing is that they really needed better casting and a technical EP to try and convey Reilly's craziness into something gothic, sexy, and watchable. Tom Langan's best work was as EP of DAYS from 92-97, translating Reilly's outrageous stunts into something that "seemed" real.
