Thanks for the Ann Williams article. She was a class act. Her real-life soap was more heartbreaking than anything a writer could contrive. Reading this article, it is so sad to consider what her future would bring.

Yeah, the title made me pause (not even counting the other tragedies). I posted another on her last year, you may have already seen it. It's too bad none of her work from the Doctors has been shown. I love her work on Edge of Night. I guess Margo ran her course but I wish they'd kept her around.

It's interesting to me that Maggie Powers was one of those roles successfully cast three different times. You may have already mentioned this before (if so my apologies) but what did you think of each actress as Maggie?

There's a lot of discussion of this earlier in the thread, and varied opinions. Chris Schemering claimed it was mostly in the mid-70's, as they ran out of stories and the medical soap genre began to falter.
