I'd like to think I would but it's been a while. And it's hard for me to forget his aversion to the role. In the end he was phoning it in, clearly resentful of the part. At this stage my problem isn't with TSJ, or RH for that matter, it's with Todd. That said, I don't mind Todd in this storyline, but I have my reservations about the one with Marty. I might have an easier time with it if he were more clearly looking for redemption.

I love most of what Ron is doing with OLTL but good lord how long can he drag out Gigi's secret? Its been going on since November. Just tell Rex the truth already. It makes NO sense why she continues to lie and Im not agreeing with the way Ron is handling this story. Its lost alot of its steam especially with Adriana gone. I dont think most people care anymore and just want it out

IA. Marcie came on as a psycho nut, obsessed with Jen. Al made her tolerable and Ive only liked her with him. Once he died, I had no more use for her

you mean this?

Not me. I don't want the secret to come out until they're together, and it's Adriana who will be the one to spill the secret......at Gigi/Rex's wedding during May 2009 sweeps. :)

you want to wait almost a year for this? This secret needs to come out like yesterday. Toups, you are too used to JER's style of writing on NBC. We ABC fans dont like our secrets to go on THAT long...lol Thank god he's not on ABC. Ethan on Passions STILL doesnt know Lil Ethan is his son and that kid was born like 6 years ago

But secrets don't need to come out if you can create and interesting storyline for Rex/Gigi which I think Ron can do. There's also the beat of Brody's feelings for Gigi and him wanting to be Shane's father, and there's the story of Rex wanting to know who his real father is. You can play those beats and prolong the Shane's true paternity coming out for a long time.

About Little Ethan, I don't mind that Ethan still doesn't know, it's just JER focused too much on Theresa saying, "Ethan can't find out that Little Ethan is his son." I like the idea, just the execution was off. Same concept with Ron's secret.

At DAYS, Bill Bell didn't have Mike's true paternity coming out for what, 8-10 years? That's freakin awesome.

I'll always be a believer of long term planning and slow and steady build up to a huge climax. Secrets can last 6 months to 10 years, it doesn't really matter to me as long as you make it work and don't make it boring and don't make it too repetitive.

Tess is to a vixen what Todd is to a rogue or a scalawag.

Oh DeeDee!

Somebody somewhere pointed out that RH's semi frequent absences from the canvas for extended periods of time made the character of Todd more palatable. I tend to agree and think we may be long overdue for a Todd "break". I like the character and he really makes things happen, but I've just had enough for a time. Don't want him killed off. Just want him gone for a time.

Exactly!

Great post.....ITA.

Hey Cole....no sh*t Sherlock! ;)

Cole annoys me more and more everyday. I can't it believe it took John to make Cole understand that he screwed up by telling Todd. Yes Cole, you are an idiot.

And so true about Jack....and there's also his keeping Marty from Cole.....or how he tried to kill Margaret while she was pregnant with the child he claims to love. Todd is always the victim. Everyone is out to get him. His routine is falling on deaf ears with me.

I'm pro-Starr on this one. Cole is a whiny ass sack of sh*t.

hey, 2 episodes in a row without Tina or Marty, and I loved the show both days! I love me some Tina and Marty (even if i'm a bit lukewarm about their current storylines) but I'm stoked that the show has so many entertaining storylines simultaneously that on any given day it's such a pleasure to watch.

David & Viki are just excellent together. And I laughed out loud yesterday when Dorian screamed that she could horsewhip David , and he told her he missed that...

    • -- Laura to Sonny: "I will always love and respect you." GAG ME. This stuff doesn't lead me to respect Sonny more, but to respecting Laura less. -- Carly being brought into the Gio/Brook Lynn story by Lulu. GAG ME. Why does Carly have to be a part of every damn story on this show?
    • This episode was probably the most we've ever seen of Jan.. and it took long enough. The phone conversation between Jan/Ashley also shed light on their backstory.. and I think it explains why Ashley seems to live in a dreamworld and why she's having difficulties with living with Derek.  Derek could be doing everything right and Ashley would still have a problem because she was an only child, didn't see her mother model positive male/female interactions, and sounds as if she was alone a lot of the time. Nicole is modeling healthy human behavior and she would be smart not to listen to Dani's advice... well intentioned as it is. Eva is the character you root for because she's suffering the consequences of her actions.  And if I were Eva, I wouldn't want to be part of the Dupree world.   I'm hoping the Doug/Joey scenes today is signaling that we're finally moving to the next stage of this story... Doug either asking Vanessa for the money, or letting Joey have dibs on Vanessa's business books, etc.   And Joey finally showing his true colors makes me think we might be approaching that next stage of this story.
    • Lord have mercy!!! Not SilkPress vs Eva at Oprhany Gene for everyone to see!!!! Though I loved Vernon shading SilkPress. I continue to love all this fallout.   Is THAT Joey's endgame?
    • WAIT!!?  You don't want to know CM's workout secrets?  And a recap of his insta feed?  What's wrong with you?   Anyhow, today's show had good character moments.  I feel like Sonny/Laura brought it down.  I really like Tracey and Jason scenes so I think I am a weirdo.  Carly/Lulu were actually pretty good as well, but Carly's dress was some sort of bondage/leather type situation?  It was a strange wardrobe choice lol.
    • Oh God When are we gonna see this on BTG?
    • Yeah, I don't really love Felicity being used to push the Chad/Cat agenda.  I don't get the question on Xander's behavior either.  He was wrong and offensive. I like Xander.  I think Paul Telfer is great.  If Marlena did the same thing I would say she's wrong too.  Characters are imperfect and that's fine.
    • Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter.  Joey said the same had happened to him.  I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
    • Interesting. I definitely think that it's possible that Jan could be a former lover of Joey's from back in the day, maybe back when he was still married. I won't be surprised if it comes out at some point that Jan used to be an escort or something.
    • Quick question, How are you guys making time to watch all these soaps? I consider myself a pretty organized person, but since I have committed to watching more of the older soaps. I feel all over the place, and can not figure out a schedule that seems to work.  How are you all doing it?   Thanks. I will check that out.
    • Oh, poor Henry had to wait for the grave to finally come "out"! The whole things was McTavish plot dictated so that Hart could have money to pull off his scam of Roger later. The fortune is totally forgotten later. Which reminds me WHY did they fire Hilliard who actually could kinda pass for a midwestern farm boy..from JOISEY Grillo? AM and Lucy's wedding has got to be the weirdest wedding up to that point and really exemplified the McLaiby cheesy run. Universal Studios? And the Spauldings shut the place down for the wedding that only involves 6 people??? Its not even that weird that Bridget and David arent there...they didn't even invite AM's Mom or Grandfather...
