I did not watch Loving during this era. She appears to have bedhead hair. Did Jeff attempt to rape her?

Jeff had before this guilted or forced her into marrying him, I think (I can't remember), then kidnapped her, was put in a mental institution, and after befriending Trucker's sister Rocky, escaped. He was hiding at Trisha's bridal shower (using an invitation he'd stolen from Rocky) to kidnap her. Curtis and the other guy saved her.
