Wasn't there a asian girl doing what Pam doing last week when Marcus came by to visit Donna. Maybe Pam take a day & the asian girl takes the other day.

Isn't Phoebe is opening the door to get step on like Bridget does. Bridget always getting step on by a family memeber.

I thought for sure that Phoebe was going to lose it after she saw Rick and Taylor and get into some accident which would cause her to need plastic surgery, thus ending the need for her and Steffy to look identical; enter recast. That would have given Taylor incredibly guilt and given her relationship with Rick a new level of angst. BUT it seems as if they are taking the easy route and with Phoebe now approving, there is no story here. I cant see where this is heading

Yup. Brad Bell botched it up again. Same with Donna and Marcus. Did we know Donna had a secret or that she had a son or did this come out of nowhere? And why did the revelation come out only after one week? Why was there no build up to something this big?

there was NO buildup. This completely came out of nowhere. It would have been better if Pam was trying to expose Donna before the wedding and ended up finding the secret son, all while fueling animosity in him towards Donna and then unleashing him upon her and Eric.

Build-up?

What's a "build-up"?

Forget it. Ron just told me what it was. Now I know.

Seriously, I love the idea of the plastic surgery. That would have been AWESOME! (And right up B&B's alley - it sounds like a Brad Bell story)

Such a shame. Really missed the obvious drama here.

Oh definitely! This secret should've led up to the wedding after a huge build up. And you get to build on the Donna/Pamela rivalry.

Eh, I guess we're being spoiled with Ron Carlivati's greatness, we expect other soaps to be the same. ;)

And it's something so simple too. Nemesis finds out secret.....secret gets exposed at a huge event - that's classic stuff.

Instead, Marcus is in 2-3 episodes and we get, "Are you my mother?" Whhhaaat????? I don't get it at all.

And Michael Minnis too who worked with Bill Bell - the master of the build up! Of course we don't know what goes on the behind the scenes, but surely Kay or Michael or someone said, "Slow down, Bradley. This is happening way too fast." If not, that's very disappointing of Kay and Michael.

True enough, and it's not like I'm president of the Alden fan club or anything. I think she has winners and losers like anyone else. But still, like I said. This is basic soap storytelling. I AT LEAST expect that from her. Hell, I expect that from Dena Higley and Megan McTavish!

ANd you're right Toups - there are enough there that someone should have said something.

    • Yeah, not sure why Jack and Jen didn’t rush to Marlena - or even Carrie - to offer their condolences. A few flashbacks would've been a nice touch too. Instead, we got a whole episode of them talking about Chad and Abby? Come on. On the bright side, I loved Anna’s scenes with Marlena and Carrie - sweet and heartfelt, felt like a real 80s throwback.
    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.
    •   It's working fine now.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
    • I sure hope you’re right. The lack of sets is maddening!
