Adam/Opal

I really like that these two are now sharing scenes because they got such a rich history with this show. Having them be seen together is just sweetened frosting on an already good cake (the one that is helping AMC improve). Opal loved Dixie like her own daughter and Tad was her knight in shining armor. Tad/Adam hate each other so that gives Opal big reason to not like or trust Adam. But she also has somewhat of a civil side towards him since he is on good terms with her best bud, Erica. Two veterans in some humorous scenes make this a happy AMC fan!

Kendall/Greenlee/Annie/Amanda/Babe

Well it looks like something good came out of them getting all desperate on the poll cracking. They are now boosting sales because of that little es or sex capade. That is good news for Fusion but it sucked for us. Now stop pimping this!

Its cool bc Im not dead....at least not yet...lol

AMC sure screwed the TnD fans over. When I first heard that she was returning as an angel to reunite Tad and Kate, I thought it was going to be a sweet story with her guiding him and helping him along the way to find their daughter. Instead they have her as some annoying poltergeist, driving Adam insane

OMG, Adam and Opal.It just hit me in that last scene with them together. Its crazy, but I think I could actually buy them as a couple. I wouldnt mind if AMC tested them. Palmer, Tad and Erica definetly would have quite a reaction to that

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
