Now all of a sudden, Ava wants Kayla's baby? Where did that come from? Yes, it's true that I eventually wanted Ava to steal Kayla's baby, I wanted a real motive and build up to that decision.

Basically in every episode we have had a moment or more of Ava going on about the kids she and Steve were going to have together. Right after the plane crash, Ava was in the hospital and wrote a note to Steve how Kayla would NOT have his baby. Then in Steve and Ava's first confrontation, she reminded him how he promised how they were going to have kids together. Even when they rode in the limo, Steve conceded that this would only be he and Kayla's first child (lie!) and Ava saw that as proof that he loved her more than Kayla. lol

The trigger? My guess it was when Kayla put Ava's hands on her stomach to feel the baby kick as a plea for their lives. Ava was visibly moved at that moment. Angelo was trying to talk her out of killing everyone right now - so this seemed like a good compromise.

All of a sudden? Patch and her talked of having children. Kayla's baby has been a main focal point of the story and the idea was for it to be a shock when Ava announced her plan. Even so, it wasn't much of a stretch considering everything so it wasn't a shock nonetheless. What possible buildup should there have been? A scene where she says, "Hey, wait, I have a plan?" Seriously, that crap only happens under JER and all it does is lead to a repetitive pace and is lazy writing. The viewers are intelligent enough to understand why Ava came up with that plan. I don't think any additional scenes were needed.

MBE and TB were awesome yesterday. That was the Kayla I remember. Loved the Hope passing out scene too. The story is finally picking up again and I don't think the pace is off at all. It's been only 3 weeks since Hope is kidnapped and already Bo and Kayla have found her and Steve. Also enjoyed Sami and EJ yesterday.

I believe Shawn's contract is for a year. Not sure. Not really liking Chelsea/Daniel either although I do like Daniel. Enjoyed the Jillian stuff today. Ali and Ari were awesome Sami and Nicole are rocking and loved the punch and Nicole rubbing in her date with John. Nice seeing Maggie get something to do too.

Philip/Morgan have loads of chemistry and I enjoyed their scenes and the John/Paul stuff. I didn't think the Jillian or Earth day mentions were out of place and, even if they were, so what? I mean, maybe it's annoying in Jillian's case but as far as Earth day I appreciate it when soaps recognize things like that.

The show has been picking up, just in time for sweeps.

You know, that first paragraph sounded kinda like you were going off, Tim.

I hope that wasn't the case.

Nah. I don't even have it in me to go off on people unless provoked to the breaking point. You should know that  . Although, I must say, I have no idea why you would cite my post and that paragraph. I don't think there is nothing harmful concerning it at all.

I was merely pointing out how there really wasn't much to add and that adding anything else may have watered down the scenes, something that happened alot under JER. That's all. Ives reinforced the points so it's a moot issue now.

I sighted your post because, to me, I was wondering if you were going off or not.

I felt I had the right to ask that question. The same question I would have asked anyone else here if I thought the very same thing.

Thanks for clearing that up, Toups.

Today's episode........

Stephanie/Max = vomit-smiley-9529.gif

Seeing Higley's name in the credits again = vomit-smiley-9529.gif

You know, you really need to stop holding back.

Stretch out with your feelings.

Thanks to my FF button, Stephanie and Max were just a blur today--which is how I prefer them. I loved John and Marlena, especially when they were tussling over the neglige. I'm tired of Sami constantly repeating her EJ-hate. And what's with the "I don't want Nicole anywhere near my children" line, which she also keeps repeating. Nicole has mentioned the twins a couple of times and stood beside EJ when he was holding Allie, but that's as far as her interaction with the children has gone. I think Sami is just looking for excuses. I liked the Kayla/Ava scenes, but I was distracted by how red TB's forehead looked. Did I forget--was she hit in the head or something?

Like Sami and her feelings for EJ, I have also been living in denial--but today I saw Dena Higley's name in the credits, and I was smacked in the face with reality. She's really back.

Well one good thing is we are finally done with the scab written episodes..So we can't blame bad episodes on the strike anymore..its all going to be on Dena...But i'm hoping she surprises us...

Yes, when Steve pushed her out of the way from Bo's gun, she smacked her head into the wall and was knocked out. This was all just a few hours ago Salem time, I assume.
