Lavery vs. Lavery

Super Ryan is in trouble! Yep the wife Annie has decided that she has had enough of the holier than thou crap and his little bug eyes that scare her worse than Charles Manson on viagara. I guess it is time for them to fight it out in divorce court, even though St. Ryan will try to convince her to stall the divorce for a little while but Annie is a smart woman who knows what is good for her...that would not be Ryan. But now the writers expect us to believe that Super Ryan still has this huge heart because he manages to tell her that he is opening a trust fund for the beloved Emma. Oh gosh let's just erase all of the times he treated Kendall like dirt, nearly abused Greenlee, ripped her heart out over the fight club, pitted Kendall and Greenlee against each other over him when he is not worth the price of a down payment on Front Street, let alone their time. Yea let's bring on this divorce alright because Ryan does not deserve to have anyone in his life! But what he does deserve is to go down six feet where he is eaten alive by disgusting worms that know a filth or two in their time and Ryan is that filth, being the Con H0 that he is. Ryan is now going to have to start proving himself that he is worthy of anyone's marriage so let's see him really start to shed the con days and be a good hearted person. I bet there will come a time where he saved a ten a$$ed cat from a Dynamite Kiddo shaped tree, to which everyone would worship him with Erica doing it for about ten hours straight to become even more tired than a senior citizen practicing doggy style on the latest flavor of the month. But will us the fans buy into this sudden turn around? Don't think so! But the PV citizens have no choice, due to the hack head writers that they got right now. Let's just cut the losses with Ryan/Annie and have them divorce...Emma also need not have his money. Annie is making enough as it is with her job at Fusion while Ryan is not even equipped to flip Dynamite Kiddo burgers on a grill owned by Bubba after he escaped prison by jumping some cons' skivvies to frighten them worse than the Grim Reaper on steroids!

Aidan/Greenlee

Okay something tells me that they will try and walk down the aisle but, on the big day, the newly returned Jake objects to their union and professes that he still loves Greenlee. Aidan/Greenlee/Jake would continue and that would be one hot story!

    • I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me. ETA-I feel like the Bistro might just die and people will just pretend to order food there like Leo did today.  Sophia is on bed rest so no one works there anymore.  They can use that set for something else.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
