2nd Season Premiere Episode: March 2, 2008

GREAT premiere episode.

Amazing how only 2 weeks has passed since the season finale back, like, a year ago! Only in TV-Land!

I didn't think they ever showed the Leo running over Julia thing last season during the finale. That kinda confused me, but I guess they added it for this episode to kind of move story along, I guess.

Courteney Cox looked HOT.

Martina Lynn was obviously an Anna Nicole rip-off. Can't figure out who Sharlee Cates is a rip-off of: Lindsay Lohan (running after her ex-assistant's mom) or Britney Spears (got a kid, country accent, smokes, shaves head this season)? Looks like a Paris rip-off is coming up this season, too.

I can already tell this new Kenny assistant is gonna get on my last nerve with his endless "harsh" chanting. I'm sure his panic attacks will come into play sometime this season.

I'm also very pleased to see that Don is taking his meds again. Hopefully, he'll stay on them. Although, some of his funnier, more emotionally fueled moments happen when he's not.

I like the new reporter guy, but I never really have taken a liking to Willow. <_< She's "okay", I guess.

Previews for this season look awesome!!! :D Can't wait!

Dusty!!!!!!!!!

LoL. I've come back just to chat with you my friend.

Not many good places to dish the DIRT, LoL.

LOVED the season premiere.

I actually like Willow, or is it Willa? Either way, she doesn't bother me too much.

Lucy had some great lines in this eppy too. She's so fierce,

Can't wait to see what's in store for Don. He's still one of my favorite television characters ever.

The new reporter guy seems pretty interesting. Definitely a love interest there with Willow.

I also like how the storyline's seem to be developing, just in this first eppy. Looks like we're in store for a great seven eppys!

Can't wait 'til Sunday.

....also, a bit off topic, but I will def try to get to your blog tonight or tomorrow, :D

Mat, it's sooooo unbelievably awesome to be getting "Dirt"-y with you. *wink* LMAO.

The 2nd episode wasn't all that special to me. Liked the appearance of Holt again, this time telling the P.R. guy he didn't care what people thought of him for going out so soon after the attack.

I also thought it was hilarious when Don called Lucy out on acting all giggly on the phone with Holt.

Not too sure about Willa/Willow/Whatever this season. I've always liked her, but I think he affair with the publisher kinda tainted her IMO. I do like the new guy, though.

LAMO at Milan's public spanking. How S&M! (Much like next week's episode....Don sure does know how to get into some predicaments!! LOL)

EeeeeK! Dusty, don't hate me, I've been busy, but I HAVEN'T forgot about you, :D

Anyhoo, Loved, Loved, the third eppy of Dirt this season. Best so far, IMO.

Wasn't too happy to see Rick Fox back, aka Prince, but I digress. That whole story was crazy at then end when what's his name got burned, literally, LoL.

Enjoyed the Don story as well.

Appreciated that the drifted away from the direct rip offs as well. I hope they keep that up.

    • Right. Literally for decades, soaps mesmerized their audiences with tales of romance, family conflict, class struggles, and recognizable interpersonal-relationship sagas. We didn't need relentless, heavy violence. We didn't need clones, mad scientists, extra-terrestrials and demon possessions. We didn't need gaggles of plastic himbos and bimbos pushing beloved vets off-screen. We only needed to see people whom we cared about, and the intelligent, moving progression of their lives. Flashy sets, gaudy gimmicks, and high-falutin' hairdos be damned. The characters and the words were important.
    • Absolutely! Brad should've simply moved on from Lunacy. There's no point of freeing her, if you're not going to at least make an attempt at redemption or incorporating her into the fold. It happened with Quinn, who committed quite a few felonies before become the Forrester Matriarch.  Heck, keep Lunacy in prison and have Poppy/Finn discover that she gave birth to twins - 'Sunny' could've come on with a clean slate and still had Sheila/Finn and all the other drama. It certainly couldn't have been worse than what we've witnessed with the destruction of $B.
    • I would enjoy it if Swan popped up on BTG as an old one time friend/mentor of Anita’s for a cameo. This is just

    • I had totally forgotten that Courtney story. I see Burton was already phoning it in by that point.
    • omg I completely missed that, but now when I see it typed here in your post, it's obvious icky cringe. So now I just checked and Tomas said that -- on May 27 that he likes the author Carl Ivati.  He said it with sort of an accent, so I didn't catch the stupid joke or think about the spelling.   I remember when that aired, that I actually said to myself at the time, "I wonder if that's a Latin American author, and I will have to google him later." And now I see your post, and I see. Well that's cringe, and I feel stupid to have fallen for it.

    • There's a lot you don't need if you have the writing.  You don't even need large casts!  You could make do with a cast of 12-18 actors if the writing is there.
    • Thank you. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with sleeping around if your spouse actually knows about it. She’s just a cheating slut.
    • OMG...Robert Mandan! And Donna Mills is a child. I keep hoping for more of early Ross/Vanessa.
    • I get your point, but I also know that if the roles were reversed -- if a man were screwing around on a woman this way -- everyone would be all "All with his head!" When I say Vanessa needs therapy, I'm actually being kind, because I could begin and end with the fact that she's a cheating slut.
