February 22, 200817 yr Member Well we saw diff interviews then He was one of the peopel she said the best things about Very nice man... Or something like that. Thinking about it, I think it was in his interview, the thing I'm talking about.
February 22, 200817 yr Author Member She said that about everyone But with Bell she mentions working with him, a nice family, doesn't see him as often as she'd like anymore.
February 24, 200817 yr Member I get the impression she is not too fond of Barbara Esensten. After saying great things about Irna Phillips, Doug Marland, Gordon Russell, Doris Quinlan etc all she has to say about Babsy is that she's a nice person? Nothing about her talents? lol. And even Barbara implied in a TvGuide Canada interview last year that she and JHB have had some disagreements with Nixon. Poor Agnes. She must have been thrilled when McTavish was fired, but then to have Frons hand over the reins to B&E.........

A rabies-infected poodle would know to treat the names Irna Phillips, Doug Marland, Gordon Russell, and Doris Quinlan in a much higher regard than Barbara Esensten lol. [!@#$%^&*], I think my eight month old niece would pick BJE's name if asked "what's wrong with this picture?"
February 25, 200817 yr Author Member Hahah though at that time B&E had done largely good things--Loving Murders and City--all with Agnes. I think it more took Agnes back to have her name brought up with everyone else (she did seem particularly fond of Gordon Russell which I think backs up what some people have said to thjose who claim Agnes abandoned OLTL early on--that she still paid a lot of attnetion to it and its direction).
February 25, 200817 yr Member They worked together on ATWT. In All Her Children, as I've mentioned, from 1976 Agnes mentions how different their styles are so when someone (I think her own daughter) suggested to the author that he was using a story she just did (maybe the plastic surgery one?) she said they'd have very different tones and it wasn't copying, etc. It seemed pretty clear. And Jonathan I guess I got all your love. HA! kidding--I wish I had seen your post--I'm fascinated/in love with these videos Yeah, way to steal my thunder! I guess I'm just as "progressive" as Agnes Nixon!
