Any episode with Alexandra Spaulding is an episode that I'm willing to watch. Alex finding out that Sarah and Jonathan's alive, was priceless. I love Marj Dusay's snippy comebacks when she's paired in a scene with Ron Raines. The person I feel really bad about in this whole "Bertina" plot is Rick. The poor guy gets divorced, goes after his childhood sweet heart, thinks he's the father of her baby, but it's really not.

I can't wait to see how Alan's going to take action against Cassie. It was nice to see Harley saying that the whole town of Springfield would be on her side, but would the law take that same side as well?

I knew Mandy Bruno's performance was going to be campy and I was right on the dot. But, I did enjoy seeing Dinah and giving her advice to Marina. I mean, off all people, Dinah should know what that feels like when she lost Hart to Cassie the slut. That triangle still burns me up when I think about it.

You're right Matt about the Alexandra scenes. Marj Dusay was hilarious today and it was just nice to see her, ya know? I feel the same whenever I see Tina Sloane.

We've got ONE more week until we start seeing "Life Happens Here". But will it be a "Life" that I'll want to explore more of, or a "Life" that I choose to abandon? I guess we'll find out next Monday.

I didn't really watch that much today. The Natalia and Olivia scenes were too much to swallow down and accept. The Lizzie/Jonathan on-location scenes were rather wobbly but the park was very beautiful to look at.

^^ You're so full of sin, Jack! You really are! :P But I agree with you- this pastor thing needs to end soon and fast but I doubt it will happen since the church set is are in Ellen Wheeler's office, so I guess for something that took THAT long to build in her office boudoir she isn't letting it disappear too quickly.

Today, I was rather impressed by the show today. Not that I'm giving Ellen Wheeler a Werther's Original or anything. Some of the on-location scenes were really good like Cassie's farm and the scenes in her car and Josh's run in the park. However, the on-location scenes in Jeffrey's office were horrible not to mention the office at Will's new school.

The waitress over at Company kind of reminded me of Nancy St. Alban (ex-Michelle Bauer). Not a bad show, but then again, not all that great either. I'll try to remain positive tomorrow.

I was so happy to see the message boards back up. This is my fave spot to post.

Anyway, I am SO SICK of these writers changing up character traits based on the story they feel like has to be told. So far this week, Cassie has started getting crazy again (although I admit that's the only way I can watch her), Cabin Beth is re-emerging since she wants revenge on Cassie, Marina is being a vindictive shrew, Harley is continuing down the whore path....UGH.

The show is sloppy. There is no rhyme nor reason why the characters turn on a dime like this. TIIC have to understand that for the audience to give a rat's ass about Springfield's residents, we have to understand their motivations for what happens on-screen. Even for long-time characters, like HoHarley, that all of a sudden want to sleep with their neice's fiances, we have to understand why that is (and I'm sorry - that lame excuse of the collasping church doesn't cut it). Right now, I don't give a crapola about anyone in that triangle. Not one bit.

And Ms. Wheeler is going to HAVE to understand that it doesn't matter what the show LOOKS like. If the stories are crap, everything else doesn't matter. When are they going to get rid of that idiot DK? I have sat here and watched 3 SHOWS ditch their HWs during his regime (OLTL, AMC and YR) yet he's still f'ing here.

The only reason I'm still watching is for KZ. When she leaves, I'm leaving.

I'm actually enjoying the Marina/Cyrus/Harley love triangle only because Marina's taking charge and is trying everything in her power to get her aunt caught.

It was also sweet to see Lillian tell off Dorris. This episode was full of surprising confrontations like Rick and Josh. Even though Josh had it coming, he really didn't deserve those words, it should've been given to Cassie.

Any episode that features gems like Lillian, Rick, Alex, Vanessa, and Matt are pleasant episodes to watch.

This week for Guiding Light have been up and down for me. I enjoyed watching today and can't wait until next week because next week is when Guiding Light unveils its new look. Please let this be good. adore.gif

And yes, Greg. I do agree with you about how the writers are constantly changing the characters traits in order to tell a story. I couldn't agree with you more on that one!

    • I have taken extremely long breaks from the show because of Sonny and I didn’t watch in the 90’s so I didn’t realize this was a crutch the show used all the time. Hell even though Maurice hates it, it was the most I could tolerate Sonny because he was written as the ass.hole he actually is at his core. His meds working again don’t erase all the characters I’ve either liked or accepted that I had to watch he and Jason murder and somehow come out as the good guys.
    • When I saw the pic of two kids on a stoop, I immediately though it was Samantha and Tyrell but that could be a red herring. The picture is quite old so maybe it is Hayley and June. This would help to bring Naomi back into Hayley and Bill's orbit. If June is Tyrell and Samantha's mother, that story would seem to be a dead end - unless Martin and Smitty adopted them through improper means.
    • I would DIE if Shanice’s mom lived beyond the gates and was just as messy I loved her so much. Give. Me. More. Absolutely loved this scene. Looking forward to more bonding between them. She is such a find. If her agents are smart, they’re booking her on bigger things as soon as possible. I want to see her blow up. She is THAT good to me. Ambyr and Trisha are the stars of this show for me and why I watch. Bingo. This show actually feeling like a soap that moves has made it so hard for me to watch the others anymore. I love you Thank god you said this. I wish we’d stop taking the bait but this needed to be said. White male leads cheat ALLLLLLLL the time. But this poster seems to think omg two black men that cheated decades apart are about to set us back somehow. I’m about to add them to the ignore list with Donna, I’m sick of the baiting. This was perfectly stated. Preach my friend, preach. As for yesterday’s episode I loved it. The show is handling the fall out from the Eva reveal so damn well for me. And I LOVED that Ted final scene holding Eva’s hand. I guess I’m in the minority since the recast announcement was made but I will miss Maurice and his chemistry with all of his costars as Ted and really wish he could’ve played the entire fall out of the story.
    • I would love to see it as part of a backlot shopping district where characters can bump into one another in a more natural way. Lately there has too much getting up and leaving then coming back during meals at Orphey's and Uptown. It's becoming a distraction. There could be shops, more restaurants and a coworking space. All of the "you will never be a Dupree" lines definitely are pointing to this. This is one of my favorite stories. I love stories about show business and MVJ has a background in the music industry so I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Anita instigated the breakup - we have already seen her mean streak come out with Hannah and Eva. I expect one member (she called Sharon today) to be holding a grudge and another member (Tracy) to be somewhat bitter but more open to the idea of a tour, playing the role of peacemaker between Anita and Sharon. Maybe Sharon will pull a Mary Wilson and write tell-all about Anita.

    • I would have been more impressed if it hadn't been built on a con (Sonny's meds already being used to make sure he would be exonerated later on). The show has been doing this dance with Sonny since the mid '90s, including Mulcahey's previous stint. I almost prefer them just being honest, as Laura doesn't have a great deal of integrity to lose anyway. The problem is Sonny is just completely spent as a character. If he wasn't, we wouldn't have to see this comment from Laura again and again. He would actually be doing something on the canvas. Instead, he's written like he's already dead. If only.
    • It seems like Steve actually enjoys scenes with Jane.  I really think Steve has just mellowed out in general and is more open to doing what is asked.  He's not 30 anymore so he's probably just happy to keep getting work especially after the whole Covid situation. If he ended up with Brenda I wouldn't complain either lol. You probably won't get that 10% out of me, but I may consider if you drop the Jordan love haha!
    • I'm sticking to my theory that June is Hayley's sister (maybe a cousin since this show showcases cousins). Hayley really needs someone else to interact with because her being isolated to just Bill is not working. Eva only seems to have a backbone when it comes to Kat. She had no problem rubbing it in her face that they are sisters. Sharon hanging up on Anita was a good little nudge for that storyline. At least one of them having a name is promising to them actually showing up.
    • Reviewing the 1985/86 sophomore slaughtering and sophomore surprise. The Cosby Show 23 of 25 episodes finished #1 in their original broadcast, one episode finished 2nd, and one episode finished 3rd. Murder, She Wrote 18 of 22 episodes were the highest-rated drama in their original broadcast and 19 of 22 episodes were CBS's highest-rated scripted series in their original broadcast.
    • I really enjoy Tracy and Jason together as well in scenes. I’m a sucker for the surviving older Quartermaines, it’s just crazy that it took this long for a producer to tell Steve Burton we don’t care what you want, you’re a Quartermaine, get the [!@#$%^&*] over it. Murders actually solved in Port Charles? Hell no. The people in town don’t care so we’re not supposed to. God if they did this to usher Sonny off it would be the best episode of GH I’ve ever seen. I’d never complain again. I will never stop trying to get that 10% out of you It was so so good. There was so much promise. New old writers came back in and immediately said f.uck that, Sonny is a hero. You are not alone when it comes to Harper as Jordan. It’s a lonely island of 2 but you’re not alone. I enjoy her and especially with the new doctor.   Most of his time on this damn show has just been him in a hospital bed over a football injury we never even saw happen .
