I think it is a good tool, if used correctly. For example. I cannot imagine Y&R without an aged Nicholas and Victoria Newman.

When we see Lauren & Mickey they are always dining or having sexy love scenes. Not that anything is wrong with that but if Lauren is applying for worst mother of the year, I'd say she still OWES Sheila a baby.

I actually don't mind SORAS in some cases. For me the Bells soaps have done a decent job of it thanks to the Swiss Boarding School Phenomenon. At least when they SORAS characters on Y&R the kids have been offscreen for a while and I nearly forget how old they used to be.

The weird ones are DAYS, one minute Will is 6 years old and then WHAMO he's 16.

Not for me. Even though I love Y&R..I put them at the bottom when it comes to SORAS. I was pissed when they aged Nick but got over it hoping they wouldn't do it again. Many years later, they do it with Victor JR.

As for Days, Will was actually born in 95 so it's not that far stretched

I think Leah Bauer would hold the record for the most quicky aged character- and for what reason?She hardly appeared and her parents divorce story was hardly dealt with.It was totally unnecessary.
