The bullshit continues. Here's an article from a "all local news" station in Central FL:

GOP group depicts Obama with watermelon and ribs

This is just pathetic.

There was a feature on this station of a local "Joe the Plumber" in Daytona Beach. He said that if the "Joe the Plumber" in Ohio is making over $250K, then he's doing very well cuz he's never seen a plumber make that kind of money. He went on to say that he wouldn't mind paying a little more in taxes if he made that much money and that he was going to vote for Obama. I'll try to find the story and post it here later.

According to Olbermann it was a food stamp not currency. The opening line of her letter said something to the effect of Obama not thinking he'd look like the other presidents on the currency and mentions he'd be on the food stamp.....I don't see how she's pretending it was something innocent.....but she's not racist because she voted for Alan Keyes........look my neighbor is black so you know how that goes. B) California....

This stupid newsletter was in Ca. And that woman had the audacity to say she didn't equate those foods as sterotypical of black folks. I cringe. I'm just down right pissed. If they are doing this withou McCain's approval, then he's not much of a leader. If they are doing this with his approval, then he is an even lesser man than I thought. Just remember that these are the fringe people. The extreme minority of the party that's just pertty damn stupid and vocal. At least I pray that because people really can't be this isolated , dumb, stupid, ridiculous, any other words you can think of.

VOTE VOTE VOTE SEND THESE PEOPLE A MESSAGE THAT WE WON'T TOLERATE THIS CRAP ANY LONGER!!!

The View is on here now and Whoppi made one very good point.

THE MORE YOU MAKE THE MORE TAXES YOU PAY.

Small business is hard and you really do need to know if there is a market out there for what you have to offer.

Yes everyone does need plumbing done and yes some people do think that they are quiet the handyman. Most proberly the best small business to open in this would be one that cover's everything from gardening to carpetenry to plumbing and electrical.

KO did say she said Alan Keyes.

McCain was very funny at that Alfred E. Smith dinner. Rachel Maddow mentioned that it didn't take place in 2004 because John Kerry was at odds with the Catholic Church. I wonder if Joe Biden's position on abortion matters....I know he's out here doing Leno, Ellen, and fundraisers.

Go Rays!!! If all goes well I won't have to hear about the Red Sox coming back from being down three games tomorrow.

It's really sickening how this thread has just turned into a one-sided rant against McCain and Palin. The vicious smears that many have hurled towards McCain and Palin are well beyond what is acceptable discourse, and are completely unforgiveable. Honestly, the garbage that is consistently spewed in this thread is every bit as vile as the things one would read on far-left blogs like moveon.org or dailykos.com.

It is so damn frustrating to try to argue with others when your own viewpoint happens to be in the minority by about a factor of 25 to 1. I'm sure this is why the other few conservatives on the board--Kwing42, WoSTBrian/GoldenDogs, and Casey008--have decided to stop posting here. As of now, I am going to join them and disappear from this thread.

I sincerely hope that this thread is locked ASAP, because it has certainly outlived its usefulness. I truly regret being the one who created it.

Nothing said about either McCain or Palin is as vile as insinuating someone is a terrorist merely because you don't want that person to be President. The thread might not be useful to you but you don't speak for everyone else so there's no need to be that selfish. Had you not created this thread someone else would have created a poltical discussion thread.

I can't say I'll miss the double standards because only Republicans can be truly wronged. It's truly amazing.

DITTO to that.

All I have seen the ones that have stopped posting here are the ones that couldn't take the fact that there were people here that disagreed with them.

Ehhh. Same could be said of why Democrats aren't fans of Fox News and Republicans of CNN.

I haven't seen much in this thread in the past few weeks that is unfair to McCain/Palin, just some hard facts. Now those facts may be negative, but they are all true. The discussion here has been very fair and respectful for the most part, it's no one's fault that some of the conservatives decided to stop posting, that was their choice. Whether your opinion is the majority or not, it shouldn't stop you from debating the issues.

That is essentially the problem with some (and I repeat - some) of the conservatives that used to post here. You come with a mindset to argue, not discuss, the issues. I can't speak for everyone, but personally, I have no problem with opposing viewpoints and welcome an honest, friendly discussion of the issues facing this nation.

One-sided rant against McCain/Palin? Vicious smears? Hmmmm. Perhaps there have been some far-left news articles posted about your candidate, I agree. However, when some (and I repeat - some) conversatives were actively posting here and we attempted to discuss issues, all they could talk about was Obama's middle name, an arrest of some right-leaning writer in Kenya and insinuations that Obama wasn't born here. Add to that that he's a "terrorist" and an October Surprise that the Clintons were involved in and if you look at the thread fairly, you will be able to see that the "garbage" is being spewed from persons on the right as well.

All of this however, will probably fall on deaf ears because the last time I attempted to discuss an issue with you like gay marriage, you disappeared and never responded to anything I posted. Is that the "acceptable discourse" you are looking for? That you pop up in the thread once in a while, post some RNC talking points and refuse to discuss them further? I don't see how this thread will be any poorer without your type of "discourse" if that's the case.

How anyone can be proud to be a Republican after this election is beyond me.

Nothing said about either McCain or Palin is as vile as insinuating someone is a terrorist merely because you don't want that person to be President. They are so misunderstood, Wales! Don't you see how the liberal MSM has been demeaning them and their righteous cause? They are the only True Americans. And they have been lambasted by the hate-mongering, angry left for so long all because of their fair-minded, undiscriminatory policies! <_<<_<

Cry me a river.

Exactly. If I were in the minority on this thread, it wouldn't stop me from discussing my point of view on the issues. For a group of people to stop posting because they are in the minority is just childish. Either that or they aren't open to hearing opposing points of view in a friendly discussion. I have a feeling it's combination of both.
