Members MichaelGL
Abuse of Power? No wonder Palin doesn't see how dangerous Cheney's term as VP has been.
Members Jess
Yep and now we see the Good Cop and Bad Cop routine. One day after a report says she is guilty of abuse of power and McCain appears to be ramping down the nastiness of the campaign, Palin is shown on CNN making misleading statements about Bill Ayers. It's so bad that even the news announcers say after airing her remarks that they are misleading.
Members Wales2004
The problem is that they air them in the first place. It's stupid to keep playing the same accusations over and over and then refuting them. They should get clips of her singing a new song.
Members EricaKane70
Sounds like McCain and Palin's campaign is going down in flames. How can anyone think Palin is a credible person after she was charged with abusing her power in Alaska? This negativity about Ayers and Wright didn't work for hillary and it ain't working for them. Members Greg's GL
Nothing to discuss in over 15 hours?!?!? Say what you will about our right wing friends, at least they provided some activity and (at times) thoughtful conversation in this thread. The way I see it, it's either the absence of opposing views or else everyone thinks this election is over already and there's nothing left to discuss. So which is it? If someone has a topic to present to the forum, then let's go for it. Otherwise, this thread has gotten ZZZZZZ.
Members bandbfan
Don't really seem like anything big has gone on with the election this weekend. The last debate is this week, but haven't heard much buzz on that, I guess because the first two weren't very exciting. I assume this one is back to the normal style. Members Jess
It's no different than any other weekend. I do not miss arguing with people all the time. Others do. I certainly don't like the thought of getting banned for disagreeing. Your friend on the right will return. he always does.
Members SnCCorinthos4ever
Well I do know that Sarah Palin is going around saying she did nothing wrong and that her Brother In Law is still a trooper. But operative word was she TIRED TO FIRE HIM by usuing her position of Governor. Now don't get me wrong but does she always take the baby with her everywhere. I know that a baby needs their mother especially if she is breast feeding and we haven't seen as much rally clips here as there would have been the USA, but the only time I have seen her with the baby was this weekind after she was found guilty. It was like the baby was there to stop the press from really going after her.
Members Jess
I don't think the baby is always there. Of course, she is talking about abortion so . . . . . .
Members bandbfan
Okay, so all of this health stuff about John McCain... Cancer completely aside, he is 72. IMO, that's being left out. US male life expectancy is around 75. Yes, his mother is still alive, but his dad died at 70.
Members EricaKane70
Does anyone know the topic for the next debate? I really think Palin/McCain need to get off this obama can't be trusted theme and stop connecting him to terrorist. If one of their crazy supporters does something insane its going to be on them. Members Greg's GL
Well, I don't miss the arguing. I miss the discussion. I wasn't aware that someone got banned for disagreeing with another. Obviously I missed that one and would completely agree with you on that point. Anyways. I do miss my friends. Whether they be on the right or the left ideological side. I would miss you, too, Jess...if you disappeared one day from this thread. I didn't follow Palin at all this weekend. It wouldn't surprise me if she had the baby with her. I just don't know. On the matter of her being guilty. I'm not sure how much of an impact it will have on the election...because...the persons on the right will just chalk it up to "partisan politics" (even though the investigation started before she was selected as McCain's running mate). This news will just solidify opinions of Palin for persons on the left. Then we have the remaining 5% or so true undecideds. It may swing them, depending on how loyal they are to one party or the other.
Members Greg's GL
This guy is a loser. It looks like he's pissed off both Dems and Repubs over the years. Unfortunately, his lies do not fall on deaf ears, as invariably someone will read it, believe it and repeat it to his/her friends. The man behind the whispers about Obama And I ask you, WTF is up with this? How can conservatives continue to say FauxNews is "fair and balanced" when they run this kind of [!@#$%^&*]? No wonder MSNBC is counter-programming for the liberals. Obama's Personal Ties Are Subject of Program on Fox News Channel Ugh. GMAMFB!
