I wish he would have agreed to them. That way, McCain wouldn't know the issues in a more friendly setting.

When is the last time McCain even talked about the issues?

I don't really care that much about town hall meetings. I think he is said to have avoided them since they were a comfort zone for McCain and maybe he didn't want McCain to get comfortable.

Maybe it's just my way of thinking but if Palin didn't know what a community organizer was then she should not have brought it up in her speech. I don't think it makes any sense to talk about something which you know nothing. She appeared to have mocked community organizers in her speech. Now anyone standing up and cheering her on who didn't and still doesn't know what a community organizer is, isn't too much smarter but since she was the one doing the talking, she should have done some research.

I don't even think McCain knows what the issues are. All he knows is that he means to get elected by any means necessary.

It looks like The View started something. I bet Katie Couric is itching to get in on the action now.

I hope they did start something. It was the first time in awhile that I have seen someone on tv press him on some type of issue.

I do not know how McCain can defend those ads. The interesting thing is I do not think they even run anywhere. I think they are like the Daisy ads. He shows them to reporters and never spends a dime placing them. The nose-ring gang shows the ads a thousand times for him.\

By the way Roman, thanks for the clips!!

Wales, it was pathetic that even after being told what the Bush Doctrine was, she gave a rehearsed answer that could have been applied to a question about Bush bird-hunting.

Could you explain what a community organizer is to all of us that "aren't that much smarter"?

I can assure that John McCain knows what the issues are.

I wouldn't say she is outright lying. She changed her mind. She was for it, then opposed it..

Casey, Casey, Casey... I've been skimming through the past few pages of this section trying to decide whether to post anything since most of my opinions have already been expressed by others, but I had to reply to this. SP consistently says that she said "thanks, but no thanks" to the bridge that she actually said "thanks" to. She is lying but pretending to have not supported it from the beginning.

Have you read through your posts? Your spouting the Republican stances straight out of Karl Rove's playbook with no substance to anything. Then, you keep accusing other posters of not talking about the issues with you and when they do respond, you make some snide comment and use double-speak to avoid giving explicit details about McCain's take on the issues. You should consider running for office since you're taking a lot of time and space and saying nothing.

She has not denied being for the bridge in the beginning. She changed her mind.

Example of no substance, please? I'll be happy to back up my comments with sources for you..

Then, you keep accusing other posters of not talking about the issues with you

Many still have not talked about any specific issues. Some have. If you look at the majority of posts (lately) in this thread it is nothing but McCain bashing. McCain is running a dirty campaign...Palin is a liar..McCain doesn't know the issues..Your post that I am replying to is another example of issue-dodging. You would rather point out my approach to arguments rather than support your candidate. I don't usually post McCain's stances, because 1) no one will read them here and 2) I am usually on the defensive trying to answer the barrage of aligations coming towards McCain/Palin and Republicans..

when they do respond, you make some snide comment and use double-speak to avoid giving explicit details about McCain's take on the issues. You should consider running for office since you're taking a lot of time and space and saying nothing.

Again, please give me an example of a snide response that I have replied with..Additionally, I have tried to respond with McCain's specific stances whenever I have been asked. Please let me know if you feel I haven't done this in a particular instance. I will be happy to provide you with McCain's stance. Is there any issue in particular that you would like to know McCain's stance on?

Is there anyone else that might want to step in and take over McCain's side for me? I getting tired of the rudeness towards me just because I am in disagreement with the majority here.

Yes, please, someone step up. I'm so tired of anytime someone disagrees with Casey hearing Casey play martyr.

So why are the Republicans making a big deal of Obama using "lipstick on a pig" while McCain said it before him?

I think it's sleazy politics. I also find it very interesting that the only people who have asked McCain about stunts like that is the cast from the View. Then again Barbara Walters is a pretty fine reporters.

Has the American media been showing McCain saying it too because I don't think Obama should be lambasted for saying the same thing.
