September 3, 200817 yr Member As a pro-lifer how can you support a candidate that agrees with partial birth abortion??? According to his website he only supports it if the Mother is in danger (Which i don't agree) but my BIG problem with some prolifers is that they won't do anything to help the babies that are born and the unwed and poor Mothers that have them. wanted Babies are dying by the Millions. I'm also a HUGE supporter of making adoption easier and for every good person who wnats to adopt them. I'm also for tax breaks for Familes who adopt children from the USA. Alot of pro-life peeps only seen to care about the Mother not adorting , once she dosen't she's on her own. I'm also a huge supporter of sex ed being taught in schools.

Yeah, his website is a little misleading then. His voting record does not reflect that.
September 3, 200817 yr Member . That's not something to joke about. You guys would kick me out of here if I joked about Obama being a Marxist. Do you have any sources on that? I am doing a paper for my ethics class about healthcare and abortion. That would really help me. You know, you should be a moderator here, telling people what to joke about.
September 3, 200817 yr Member All true (about Huckabee). The main factor that hurt Huckabee was that he is not a woman. What I don't understand is why would republicans be expected to do this? I never saw any prominent democrats come out against Biden. Many felt Clinton would have been a better choice, but none said so. Maybe I missed it. Did any of them say that? I find it truly hard to believe Sarah Palin was the best woman for the job, if that is truly the angle McCain was going for. Who is this Kay Bailey Hutchinson I keep hearing about?
September 3, 200817 yr Member You know, you should be a moderator here, telling people what to joke about. Point taken. Some in my family are Jewish. I think with all due respect that the "N" word should not be brought up.
September 3, 200817 yr Member I find it truly hard to believe Sarah Palin was the best woman for the job, if that is truly the angle McCain was going for. Who is this Kay Bailey Hutchinson I keep hearing about? She is a legislator (Texas Senator). McCain didn't want to link himself with Texas (Bush). He also wanted a woman with executive experience.

I am doing a paper for my ethics class about healthcare and abortion. That would really help me. I've seen many stories about it on PBS and read articles online and in mags. Will try and find a link. I was very shocked by the death rates and how under reported it is. Stories like that is 1 of the main reaon i get mst my news from PBS. I think by attacking this problem and others are ways to truly end or majorly reduce abortion. I think we can all agree we don't want to go back the back alley abortions?

How can you make someone have a baby and then not provide any support? Isn't that just exacerbating the cycle?
September 3, 200817 yr Member Wow. Now, if she has all this experience......why does she need to be tutored? Good question! LMFAO. Pure hypocrisy on the GOP and McCain's part, as is McCain being hypocritical by getting former W aides to help Palin. Every Republican under the sun when asked if Palin was the right choice, they dodge the question like no tomorrow Its quite funny, in the media that is. Exactly. Must have all been sent the same script, because they all keep saying the same things over and over. As a pro-lifer how can you support a candidate that agrees with partial birth abortion??? Barack Obama and Joe Biden only support it in case of the mother's life/health. As usual, a pro-life fanatic exagerating about abortion rights.
September 3, 200817 yr Member What is ok because she is Republican? I'm still trying to figure out what she needs to apologize for. I think she is qualified to be VP because she has been the top executive of a state government. The difference in decision making of an executive and a legislator is vast. McCain realized the importance her experience in that respect will add to his administration. She actually recieved more votes when she was elected as Mayor of Wasilla than Joe Biden did in his bid for President this year. Joe Biden had far more opposition than Palin did as Mayor. You poor Palin backers stoop to a lot of stuff to make her look good.
September 3, 200817 yr Member I find it truly hard to believe Sarah Palin was the best woman for the job, if that is truly the angle McCain was going for. Who is this Kay Bailey Hutchinson I keep hearing about? Kay Bailey Hutchinson is the only Republican leader that I can recall seeing on a political who didn't engage in bashing Obama. She stuck to echoing her support for McCain and said, when asked, that she thought Obama should make his own choice for VP and not have to pick Clinton. I think she even menti0ned a few names and she said she didn't think Clinton would be the best choice for him. I've seen a few Democrats express that they thought HRC or whoever should have been the VP selection but that Biden is still a good choice. I am not looking for any Republicans to say anything negative about Palin, I'm just hoping to see one honest enough to say that they thought Romney, Huckabee or someone else would have been a good choice even though they're fine with supporting McCain's pick. That would be more genuine than pretending that she was the "bestest: choice in the whole country which is what I've seen, among other things.
September 3, 200817 yr Member Has there ever in the history of the USA been an instance when a running mate was picked and then for whatever reason was scrapped/dropped out and a new one named? If there hasn't with the way things are going I think we could have a historic first!
September 3, 200817 yr Member By Paul KaneST. PAUL -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live. This show what a hypocritical bitch Sarah Palin is.
September 3, 200817 yr Member Joe Biden had far more opposition than Palin did as Mayor. You poor Palin backers stoop to a lot of stuff to make her look good. Its says a lot though that Wasilla is only a city of 9,000. Biden couldn't even muster that in several states.
September 3, 200817 yr Member I hear all of this stuff at the RNC, but congress will remain in the control of democrats, and democrats will only increase their hold on the senate (I don't know about the house). So if McCain wins, good luck to him in getting anything done.
