I love how the Republicans choose face value over the actual issues.

LOL. Just like after Obama's speech last night they couldn't even pick apart issues they were attacking the set design.

And, once again, who knows her? Will the electorate actually do their homework andvet this pick themselves?

Everyone has some dirt now, but if this is true that she tried to have her ex-brother-in-law fired after he and her sister got divorced and is under investigation, on top of the fact that Ted Stevens, whose under indictment, indorsed her........once again, what is this pick for?

She is limited in experiance, however where she lacks he picks up. Much like where Obama lacks experiance his mate has a good amount.

as for people unfairly judging her as a parent, Ryan said it better than i ever could.

I think she is an intersting choice. I will have to find out more about her because a few hours is far to short to judge a person. for me anyways...

I do not think they picked her just because she is a womana nd they think hilarys woman will just flock to her. I think he picked an intersting choice that seems to stand her ground and isnt one to back down. A person to seems to step up and take charge and make change when its needed. Someone who has taken on just not 'the other side' but her own side as well.

I do think she will attract some woman just because she is a woman just like obama will attract some of his own race just because and mccain will attract older people just because he is as well. some people will vote for those reasons alone just like they will not for someone based on those reasons alone. if you do or dont vote for someone on superficial reasons alone its wrong. all around. and i think people need to resurch all of these people and see where they fall.

and i must admit, as someone who does that its so hard. because everyone seems to have a baised to one side or the other. im not either side, and i dont plan on it. i wish there was a site or outlet that just showed the facts and let me chose and form my own thoguhts instead of stearing me twords one or the other. (and no, im hoenstly not talking about people in this thread because yall go back and fourth and discuss the facts and i learn a lot as well following every link posted and reading more and more... dam its a lot of work to decide who to vote for)

I really think they are both on equal ground now. McCain having someone without too much experiance and young. Obama with someone with more experaince than him. I think its time to let the age and experiance thing go for the most part because at this point i think just about everyone knows how old everyone is and the experiance they have. I think its time to start talking about not the stance they have but the PLAN they have. Because i can goe tiher way even tho i am leaving twords McCain for several reasons.

I do have one question for everyone. I reg to vote as an indie. When i went to vote for the primary or whatever a few months ago they said i cant vote for the reblicns unless i am a reg republicin. is that bulshit and they r whack or the truth? does the same stand for the pres election? (and also, im sorry if there r more typos and bad spelling in this post because i just worked all night and am not feeling well. so sorry)

Because of who's running the VP spot is more important than ever. Obama is in great danger form nutjobs and McCain is 73 years old.

If something happens to Obama Joe Biden would be running the Country.

If something happens to McCain we would have Pallin running the country.

If McCain says the country isn't safe in Obama's hands how in the heck is it safe in Pallins hands?

McCain's running mate is crucial because lets face it he has had health issues in the past and is 73 years old so his running mate is going to be key if anything were to happen to him, and I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying anytime someone is 73 and has his history you need someone that has experience.

With Biden Obama already has the Police and Firefighters so the Dems shouldn't use the whole Brother In Law thing because he doses seem to be a badguy and should have lost his job and taking his side would hurt Obama with women. I'm sure team McCain are hoping they will fall into that trap.

At 73 there also could be a sudden mental decline at anytime.

Not bashing oldsters just stating facts. Of Course team Obama would have old peeps with picthforks if he mentioned brought that up.

I don't think they need to use it at all. I'm just saying that there is dirt out there on everyone.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around this pick. I'm at CNN and the drubbing McCain is taking is just through the roof. Many can't understand how he can makethe argument that Obama has no experince and then pick someone with less experience than him.

Political pundits say that the VP pick doesn't always affect people's vote for a president, but damn McCain sure is making it a issue.

On top of this......

He didn't make up his mind until yesterday morning.

Karl Rove told McCain not to pick Mitt Romney?

Damn. This is just.......damn.

Karl Rove told him not to pick Lieberman too. He was trying to pressure Lieberman to take his name out of the running.

Actually, she offerd him the same type of postion in a diff area. I believ she was offering a spot on the Alchol Board or whatever.

Don't you just love this guy's judgement?

Damn. This is just.......damn.

I second that.

Team McCain got hit in the gut with the Biden pick and how well it wnet down. Then the Clintions shocked them and came up big for Hillary.

What i don't get is why undercut an attack that is working????

IMO McCain also felt that none of his picks could handle Joe so they are hoping that when he eats Palin up and chew her out people will feel bad for her or that Joe will take it easy on her because she's a woman. Not a chance on both counts.

It would appear that karl Rove the guy who ruined McCain chances in 2000 is calling all the shots for team McCain and Fox News is paying him to be it!
