This is what I'm now starting to think.

He maybe letting her stay in and is not pushing her because, if she gets desperate, she will stick her foot in her mouth and really make a fool of herself.

Then the SDs won't have a choice but to back him and force her out.......and if you read that article from CNN and the interview in USAToday, it may have already started.

Well, I'm a white female catholic. I wish I had known that I was supposed to vote for Hillary. I guess Hillary will convince me that I am a black male protestant now, much like she is convincing every one that she is winning the primary.

Oh no.

Don't you know? I think the new slogan is if you lose states, you have momentum.

Or is it if you lose states and you're HRC you have momentum?

They change their damn talking points so much I forget.

Now she's saying she's the only one who can get white people to vote for her.

Didn't know there were that many black people in the 32 states that Obama won.

That bullshit.

I watched Hardball for the first time in my life. Wolfson told Chris Matthews (who laughed and asked him if he is serious) that she plans to use the Puerto Rican results as part of her argument that she is the one. CM verified that they know that PR cannot vote in the general election and will not count in the popular vote but it will still be part of their argument.

Look at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if she started moving her things in right now and claimed squatters' rights or whatever else she can.

One of the Newsweek analysts is suggesting that she's planning to shake Obama down for the veep spot by threatening to take the fight to the convention floor. If she is then he should tell her to go right ahead. I don't think they should compromise with her at all now. She basically weakened her position and since she can't insist on a debate now then she's probably hoping for some major slip to take place or the SDs to give her what she wants.

John Edwards' former campaign manager Bonior is now supporting Obama and because Time put him on the cover as the presumptive nominee, she will have to go demand equal coverage from them.

Hillary's only chance now is to cut a deal with Obama and take VP.

Hillary being VP would give McCain tons of stuff to hit Obama with but this thing needs to end and if giving Hillary the VP will do it Obama needs to do it.

Plus it's the best way to heal the party ,but if Obama won the Whitehouse with the Clintons as joint Vp's he could never sleep with both eyes closed for the rest of his life.

I would totally worry that some crazy (Yes Obama has them too) supporter would try to kill Obama so Clinton could be Prez!

I'm sorry, but after the comments she made about race in USA Today, there is now no way I would except Obama having her on the same ticket with him.

She can kiss the F off for all I care now.

That is what I am afraid of as well. If Obama is president, something terrible might happen to him...I don't want to see something like that happen.

I like your idea of them on the ticket, South. I am willing to accept Hillary as VP if she can't be president...in just eight years, we would have her as president and I don't see her retiring at age 69. It would heal the party and unite both camps 100%. As I have said before, it would be smart of Obama to pick her for VP since she knows how to respond to GOP smears (which they will obviously do) and 30% of her supporters will go for McCain if she is not on as VP. Obama is smart enough not to take that risk...with her on, that number of 30% could possibly cut down to 0 or just a minimal number but it would not impact the election enough for the Democrats to lose.

Like I said.........

He doesn't need her. I don't care what percentage of voters who said they would vote for McCain.

And what kills me is that I haven't heard from these same people about Obama supporters who either would vote for McCain OR STAY AT HOME in November if she steals this thing.

Oh, so sorry. Obama supporters don't matter. His supporters will except anything.

We should just say "Pretty please, Hillary. Please run with Barack......even though your negative number is THROUGH THE ROOF."

Let's discuss other VP candidates BESIDES Hillary.........you know, ones whose negative ratings are much lower than hers.

I would say he needs her if almost a third of her supporters will go for McCain. He can prevent that third from voting for McBush. I have said before that the numbers for Obama supporters going for McCain if Hillary is the nominee is much lower at 14%. That is still a big number as well so they pretty much need each other if you ask me.

Where are you getting this idea that his supporters don't matter? I have always said here what the numbers look like for those who will go for McCain if Hillary gets the nomination. She won't steal anything but win the nomination since she is, for now, more formidable against McCain and is winning the states that matter along with pulling in the right groups necessary to win (Latinos/Hispanics, Asians, younger people are now for her, Seniors, blue collar workers).

If you want a good VP candidate besides her, I guess John Edwards or Bill Richardson would work...but neither one will erase the 30% going for McCain if she is not on the ticket

    • -- Weirdest red carpet ever at the Nurses' Ball. Every conversation was filled with snark and shade or outright insults, and we even got an on-camera arrest of Tracy -- while Congressman Drew (who's never in DC) stood there. I guess it was more interesting than the usual. -- Why did Gio walk the carpet with Joss? -- Sonny is usually escaping mobsters who want to kill him. So of course he accompanies his granddaughter on the carpet. On camera.
    • I agree with all of this.

    • I'm not Jason but O'Connor was not listed in Monday's episode with the BDWs.
    • As much as I love the Nurses Ball, the campiness of it all always comes off as strange and a little cringey, because GH isn't often like that. But whatevs, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. The surprise with Kai was kinda sweet. I wish they had spent more time on that, and given us more of Trina's POV, instead of rushing through it and talking more about his surgery.  But yeah, poor Gio. He really should've escorted Emma instead of Joss

I'm looking forward to seeing him perform though  And, poor Tracy too. She will never be the bad guy in this whole situation with Sonny, Drew, etc., no matter how Chris and Elizabeth (or Frank) choose to write it. Btw, since this is the Nurses Ball, where the hell is Nurse Liz?

    • Considering that a soap opera hasn't been launched in over 25 years, I think the show is doing well. In 2025, you're not going to get a soap opera on the level of soaps you watched before the 1990s for a variety of reasons. - All scenes are filmed out of order.  No longer do shows do the live to tape process. - No longer are there rehearsals before filming the episodes. - Most of the greats retired/passed away without teaching a lot of the new generation how to produce or write a soap opera in the pre 2000 way. Also, this isn't filmed where soap operas were filmed so the show is using local talent that is hitting it out of the park.  It reminds me of the CBN soap Another life that used local talent in the Virginia beach area. Lastly, soaps take several months to get going.. and I think the show is in good shape after 56 episodes (at least compared to other soaps that started in the late 80s and 90s like Generations, SunSet Beach, Passions, etc)
    • Cool, thank you for the perspective - helps me appreciate the story more. Totally makes sense - we know BB was so frustrated with the state of the show after its first 6 months that he was ready to cancel it.
    • I couldn't agree more. It's all subjective.
    • It should be better for a show airing in 2025. But that's just my take.
