My advice to everyone is to just realize that like McCain, there are those here who don't like to discuss the issues. They would rather sling mud and distract people from the obvious, which is the McCain Campaign is faltering, and they're running scared. :)

Do you honestly believe that my happiness has anything to do with Obama or McCain? If you do, then let me help you out.....it doesn't. I don't know either man nor have I known any of the other men who were President nor any of the Governors of the state I live in and none of them have personally effected me.....regardless of the tax increases and whatever else they've pushed or passed.

Yes, I would be happy if McCain won but not because he won.....just because I'm a generally happy person.... :D

You seem to let this election encompass a good bit of your day..You do spend a good bit of time discussing this election on this thread...to have such a hands off approach to this debate.

So are you interested in how these candidate's will effect you..or not? Why do you even waste a second conversing about any of this if it means nothing to you?

No, Casey.

You're a bigot when you feel it's just fine to call an entire race "gooks". You waltz your tail back in here after a day and a half and act like you didn't post the garbage you did. That offended everyone in this thread, whether we agree with one another or not, and then posting a link to what the term 'gook' means was the [!@#$%^&*] icing on the cake.

As far as I'm concerned you owe everyone in this thread an appology for your comments. And don't bother asking me what the hell you said because it's been quoted. You always sprout off about how people offend you and how you are the one being treated unfairly, and then you say it's ok for McCain to be a damn racist and expect people to actually listen to you?

This will all be over soon, and if all goes well, you can really stew for the next 4 years when PRESIDENT Obama and VICE PRESIDENT Biden take this country in the direction it should go, instead of it being given to a out of touch, 6,000 year old bigot and his cheerleader running mate to push us all into oblivion.

Have A Nice Damn Day......or not, Casey. I no longer turuly give a damn.

I went and looked at the line chart. Obama's line clearly goes up. McCain's appears to go down a little and the return to where it was. According to that line chart, Obama is building a lead.

I'll repeat my mantra. Polls can be misleading. I think this race is really tight. I also don't think McCain's incredibly nasty campaign is NOT meant to turn undecideds toward him. I think it's meant to make people sick of the campaign so they stay home.

You know, we all talk about the debates and the effect they will have. They don't appear to have any. The economy seems to be the only driving force out there. I'm glad Obama pushed back, but I'd still like to see some ads with him just talking to the American public. The country needs a let's calm down message.

I actually give President Bush a little bit of credit for that. He is trying to calm people down and to say, it's going to take a while don't panic. Unfortunately, he has such little credibility.

There is only one issue right now: the economy.

    • I'm left wondering if Lynda Hirsch had much access from her office in the Midwest?  I assume people called her to leak information all the time.  But her insight into the character of John Conboy made me question if she was an insider or just a yenta?
    • The interview also makes me appreciate more how clever it was for Bill Bell to use names like Storm or Thorne. That was a quick talking point for Hirsch with the show. And while I always made fun of it, looking back that's also something that made people I knew who rarely watched soaps always remember B&B.
    • There was also nepo babies Ethan Wayne and Carrie Mitchum.
    • I had forgotten he was on Kotter until the interview (I did watch that show to the end in reruns but the only replacement I remembered was Della Reese). I should watch that spinoff pilot sometime.  Maybe he decided acting wasn't for him anyway as his last credit is two years later.
    • I don't have to tell you, that he was their “big get” when it came to casting.  He replaced John Travolta on Welcome Back Kotter and starred in the backdoor pilot for a guy spinoff of Charlie's Angels with Barbara Stanwyck.  He was certainly more famous than the lead singer of one-hit-wonder Player. In the beginning, I always confused Dave and Thorn, as well as Ridge and Rocco, due to their similar hairstyles. Side note: You know The Colby's was bad if Barbara Stanwyck thought the writing was worse than the guy Charlie's Angels script -- Toni's Boys .
    • This has a lot of talk about early B&B, including Lynda Hirsch correctly inferring that Gail Kobe and Bill Bell may not work together long. She also roasts Bill Bell the way Chris Schemering did for the various mentions of "My God, man!" I am trying to remember if we actually got any of those (didn't Ridge used to say it?). There's also a lot of mention of Stephen Shortridge, who never seemed to have anywhere near as much value on the show itself. Sometimes I am surprised they never brought Dave Reed back for another doomed Brooke romance.

    • Thanks.  It can be tough to remove things from IMDB.
    • Which RC isn't above doing so thank goodness that was not the case.
    • Another episode breakdown by RC. That wasn't great to see on screen. I thought the Laura and Leslie scenes were a dream sequence.  The episode was better than yesterday's episode. I'm not feeling the Anita story at all.  Ashley and Derek continue to be a bore.
    • No, you're totally correct, for whatever reason I was thinking of Cape Canaveral.  Is the problem with being an EMT in Salem that nobody seems to drive, or use ambulances?  I could've sworn they walked Philip over on a gurney from the hotel to the hospital.

Is the writing staff trying to use coded messaging ? Javi was very specific that he wasn't fired for being gay, but he was harassed into quitting. I wish Johnny was going to work at the paper, I'd like him with Chad. I hope there's no foreshadowing in Tate and Shawn feeling queasy…
