That was funny. She said Americans are waiting for John McCain's answers. They aren't waiting for Obama's. Couric said how do you know that and Palin says because McCain has the answers. Couris says, well the polls say the Americans trust Obama more on the economy. It was actually very very funny.

That and when KC asked her for examples of what McCain's done and she referred back tp what KC said he'd done, then said he was a maverick (because we know that's a concrete example and I guess KC wasn't having it and asked again and this gem.....I'll try to find you some and bring 'em back to you.

I forgot to thank Mulder for the link....so thanks Mulder!!!

Yes, yes, yes, yes... I couldn't agree more with all you have written, Jess... unless, of course, I was you and wrote it myself. But if I would have written it, it would have had an unacceptable level of smartassishness! GREAT post!!!

NO, WAIT... Wrong post! OMG, no!!!!! Sorry, Mulder... this response was meant for Jess. :D

Unfortunately for Dems, comparing Palin to Candidate Clinton is sort of like messing around with a Ouija Board... Conjuring up a spirit can often be dangerous, dealing with something you don't quite understand...

Resurrecting the past, namely Hillary, will remind many likely voters that she would have made an awesome presidential nominee... a better option than that of Obama. Worse still, stirring up ghosts of Vice-Presidential pics past... chiefly, Big-Mouthed Big-Mistake Biden.

Obama goes over the top in bashing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Once again, U.S. politicians, including both Sarah Palin and Barack Obama, pile on the Iranian president. Why does Larry King (!) sound like the adult in the room?

http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2008/...ejad/index.html

What the HELL? Who is this idiot, Juan Cole, at Salon.com? "Piling on" AhmadineJihad? Give me a break... Little Prick is a freakin' terrorist!! I applaud Obama and any other politician who condemns AhmadineJihad!

Obama was dead-on in his response to the Little Prick and his ignorant address to the UN. Good grief... I thought Obama was leftist? Apparently Barack is moderate to right compared to this idiot socialist Juan Cole! What kind of moron criticizes Obama OR Palin on this stance?

And where does this guy get off complimenting Larry King??? OMG!!!! Who compliments LARRY KING?!?!?!? AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

It's amazing.

John McCain has now shown himself as the biggestr punk ass by bailing on tis thing, and NOW we have those who are STILL trying to talk about other bullshit!

Amazing.

If Obama had done some punk ass [!@#$%^&*] like this he would kiss his dreams of being POTUS goodbye. McCain does it and it's great strategy?!

What?!

It doesn't seem to me that he is putting forth the effort of bi-partisanship (which he stakes claim to initiating) when he mocks McCain for not being able to do two things at once...He wants to have a debate about foreign policy Friday night when our nation is facing the largest financial crisis in decades.

There are plenty of days left to debate...There are two other debates scheduled, and Friday's can be made up..

McCain said, the debate should be delayed until a bill is passed to thwart a possible recession. If the bill is hashed out before Friday, fine. The debate is on...If not, I don't think the candidates should abandon their roles in the Senate to debate foreign policy...

The bill is coming before congress tomorrow..it was not up to McCain as to when he would need to come back to Washington to participate in the legislative procedure.

I would hope that a bill of this magnitude would not be rushed in order to allow for a debate over a less pertinent issue...Would you rather the financial rescue bill be carefully amended by every member of congress, or would you rather the candidates that could possibly be president have no say in the matter?

The first debate will not have an everlasting impact on the entire financial stability of our nation for years to come. The debate can be done another day..We need a decision on this bill to settle this matter as soon as possible..

Obama and McCain holding hands on this matter, will provide inspiration for the other members to work together in their example. Why is bi-partisanship looked upon negatively? I think it is a great thing! Especially on an issue that effects every citizen in this country..

McCain is the former head of the Commerce Committee..He is still a member of this committee, but has stepped down as head to pursue the White House.

Do you feel Obama bowing out of the townhall debates offered by McCain to be considered "punk ass [!@#$%^&*]"?

So you don't feel McCain is putting country before campaign by vowing to help generate a solution to this mess? You think it's purely political strategy? He should continue campaigning and debating even if it means missing the most important vote of his 26 year career in th US Congress?

Just take a step back and ask yourself about both candidates, just as of today and on this financial crisis...Who seems more sleazy and who seems more like a leader??

I'm not offering any answers..but you should ask yourself that question.

Boy, if I had a nickel for every single time you follow up someone telling the truth about McCain with a question about Obama, I could take the rest of the year off.

And why should he NOT miss the vote.....he hasn't voted on anything for the last [!@#$%^&*] year!

No effort of bi-partisanship.......even though I told you Obama called McCain first. McCain is lying and now acting like this was his idea.

Apparently you hear once again, what you want to hear. A damn shame.

The debate did not have to be canceled in order for him to vote, it's called multi-tasking and if a candidate has problems multi-tasking then they aren't cut out to be President. This is the first time any Presidential candidate has pulled something like this and it doesn't look good.

You just did the exact same thing! You follow up a question of Obama with a slam on McCain...But the only difference is...you never answer the question about Obama that I raise...!

Just wondering..has there been an issue of this magnitude that McCain has missed voting on since april, or Obama since July?

I actually heard that from Obama himself, at his press conference earlier today..You were not the first barer of this news to me, Roman.

It sounds similar to a school yard argument...It was my idea fiiirst...na na na na boo boo! :P

So if it was Obama's idea, why is he not showing more of an effort to put aside McCain slams (cant do two things at once) (it wasn't his idea)...etc...?

He is like a dog with a bone...wont let go..even when our country doesn't want to hear this crap right now...Not a bi-partisan example...

Just take a step back and ask yourself about both candidates, just as of today and on this financial crisis...Who seems more sleazy and who seems more like a leader??

I'm not offering any answers..but you should ask yourself that question.

How in the hell can someone debate in Mississippi and vote in Washington DC at the same time? Do the presidential candidates have super powers that I am not aware of?

The vote might be taking place late Friday (same time the debate is scheduled)...McCain has said that he will be there ...if and only if... there has been some type of consensus on the financial crisis.

The leadership in Congress isn't necessarily close to a deal, so the vote probably wouldn't be that soon and McCain certainly knew it wouldn't be that soon when he came up with idea of postponing the debate. I'm not buying that his request for postponement had anything to do with the vote, I think he's just reluctant to debate.

    • Trisha Mann-Grant is so so good. I can’t believe I’ve never seen her in something before.
    • When watching the clip of Michael returning I wonder if the announcer set a record for fastest "the role of..." I've never really connected to any of LLC's characters in her soap career, but I will give her credit for always knowing how to make a reaction and scene count. She did when Gio stormed out of the room, and her reaction to Michael returning and walking off with Miley, even in the background of a scene, was great.  (and how is today the day I just realized Lisa is married to Michael Patrick Jann, of The State fame).
    • Holy [!@#$%^&*] just finished Friday’s episode. Despite my very public issues with this show, this week was everything I look for in soap opera. I fast forwarded all of the performances so I got nothing but soapy goodness. Honestly when GH wants to, they still pull off a Guza type event and this week was proof of that.    I have to also shout out Ned getting some strong involvement, given Brook Lynn kept the secret from him, very happy about that.    Maurice has to retire ASAP. Every other major player affected by this story, did such great work. He was embarrassingly bad like he barely knew where he was for some of his scenes. Giving him a job just because of his mental health has to stip when he’s actively ruining scenes. So happy Ned got a point of view most of the episode. Michael showing up with his new face and his son running up to him in front of everyone is just perfect and a great cliffhanger.
    • Why was there such a turnover of writers/producers in that era? You would think they would be looking for stability but each new team that came in changed direction , seemingly for no good reason instead of tweaking what was there. A lot of the new characters had little chance to get established before they were gone. Surely some of them had potential to be used by subsequent regimes? And what about bringing back writers familiar with the show ? Would Ann Marcus, the Corringtons, Henry Slesar or Peggy O'Shea been approached or interested?
    • Billy Magnussen is in the live action Lilo & Stitch.
    • Damn! Here we go again: Daniel Brocklebank has been axed from his role of Billy Mayhew after 11 years and will leave in 2026! bruh.. yet they keep useless characters Like Kirk and Izzy or Gemma on the payroll and axe Billy who actually had storylines and Craig. Craig was a Officer and could’ve used on important Future storylines but nooo. Keep Gemma, Izzy and Kirk who have no use
