Don't be SO sure.

Lie much. Many people in FL and MI want their votes counted, saying they don't is stupid and absurd. Many want MI & FL counted. There's a petition to the DNC regarding that btw. You nor I or anyone else knows how the MI & FL delegates are going to be counted, whether they're gonna be split down the middle of halfed (which is the SAME thing btw, lol). Obama being Hillary's running mate or vice versa will VERY LIKELY HAPPEN . Some votes could be losted but NOT many and MOST DEFINIELY NOT forever.

Roman if people who think like you don't vote for Hillary if she ends up being the Democrat nominee, then you're voting for McCain even if you don't vote at all. BTW, Hillary did NOT lose the primaries, she's won some, Obama's won some. SIMPLE. The Democrat party needs to support and vote for whomever the nominee is. I intened to so whether the nominee is Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. Anyone who cares about this country should do the same. I think it is wrong to just vote for Hillary because she's white or a woman, or to vote for Barack because he's a man or African-African, but that's what some are doing.

You are right here...I have seen the petition and signed it because now I think it would be smart to count the votes since, if we don't, odds are both MI and FL go Republican this November...that is not a risk we should take.

I don't see the votes being halfed because that says one half is more superior to be seated and the other isn't so that would be unfair to the half that is not counted...I cannot see them distributing them equally since he would be ahead by the same amount so what is the point. I don't see the ban being accepted since the meeting with the rules committee would be pointless.

I'm not sure. I'm positive.

Then none of them should be seated.

He shouldn't be penalized for having honor. He kept his word, she didn't., but he should be messed over while she benifits?

BS.

He took his name off the Michigan ballot but not the Florida one...that does not make sense. I see an agreement being made because, if there is not one, what would be the point of the meeting with the DNC?

I think it would be smart to seat MI and FL now so as not to risk them going red/Republican in November

Dude, he took his name off after he signed that agreement.

You know, I tried to be down the middle on this, but you want her to get delegates she herself said should not be seated when she signed that agreement.

I now agree with the others wholeheartedly. NONE of them should be seated if this is the game that will be played.

Period.

Right she said they should not be seated and then she changed her mind...she can do that along with anyone else. I think it is only fair they be seated and the popular vote be counted (I see them counting the popular vote, which she would then be in the lead).

They agreed to not seat them but there can be a new agreement...they did not have as a stipulation that their names should be off the ballot. That is Obama's fault that he did not put his name on the ballot

Whatever.

She flip-flopped just like the current president we have. Which means she won'yt keep her word just like he doesn't keep his.

You've made your point clear, Devoted. No matter what, by hook or crook, she should have the nom.

Glad you made that clear.

Then say hello to John McCain, your next president.

Every Obama supporter will stay at home. You want Hillary so bad, you can have her.

Guess I have to get used to saying President McCain.

Oh, no, no, no.

Find some other running mate for her. Hell DAMN no.

You screw him out of the nom, and expect him to now play second fiddle?

No. This is your idea, so she can do it withut him. You are the one saying she is the much stronger candidate, so she won't need him.

I think she would need him since there will be some upset if they seat MI and FL. If they are seated or unseated, some people will be upset. The way to NOT upset them is allowing them to be seated and putting him on as VP. He would not be screwed over anything if he agrees to it. For the sake of the party and a win, he should agree to it so we don't lose MI and FL

Then the Party should lose both states.

That's offensive.

The person who did what he was supposed to do gets screwed, then HE has to bow down like a good boy and be happy to be VP.

After HE BEAT HER!

Shockingly offensive.

No. You are the one saying she can do this much better than him. He should not be on the ticket. No way in hell.

You tell me this...who should be screwed? Obama out of the presidency when he can be in The White House as vice president or the million plus people who voted in both states?

I don't want us to lose both states because they are critical...it is not a risk to take. In order to not take the risk, seat the delegates and, to avoid uproar with Obama's second place finish, put him on as VP so those people will still vote

    • Pete T Rich article undated from Berkshire Style website According to wikipedia All My Children Script Writer: 1994 - 1996 Days of Our Lives Script Writer: 1993, October 4, 2011 – July 27, 2012 Guiding Light Script Writer: 1984 - 1993, 1997–1999 Passions Script Writer: 1999 - 2008 Santa Barbara Script Writer: 1993 Welcome to the Soaps by Joseph Montebello Before there were miniseries and weekly comedy hours, there were soap operas. Those wonderful half-hour segments that came on every day, five days a week and captured the hearts of women and men alike. And if you are as old as I am, you will remember soaps on the radio. Every day I would arrive home from school and find my mother absorbed in the trials and tribulations of Backstage Wife or Stella Dallas or Lorenzo Jones. I knew enough to go quietly to my room as my mother sat totally absorbed in the dialogue. Thanks to writers such as Pete Rich, television soap operas reigned supreme for many many years and some of the memorable characters he wrote for are still remembered fondly. Born in Atlanta, Rich moved to New York after college with the dream of becoming a comedy writer. “My friend Gail Lawrence and I were in this together,” he said, “and we had an interview with a man at ABC comedy development. He told us that one had to live in Los Angeles in order to write comedy for television. So off we went, only to discover that Bob Hope was looking for writers.” In the category of “too good to be true,” Rich and his friend did, indeed, get a job writing for Hope and, at 25 years old, they were the youngest writers he had ever employed. Unfortunately, a writers’ strike brought everything to a halt, so Rich and Lawrence moved back to New York. As luck would have it, the man from ABC who had encouraged them was now at NBC, and was looking for writers for a soap called The Doctors. “In the ’80s, when television soap operas were in their prime, they had a captive audience of housewives and college kids,” said Rich. “The shows got huge ratings and, compared to prime time shows, they were cheap to produce. The profits were staggering and it was rumored that daytime paid for prime time.” That was the beginning of Rich’s stellar career in the soaps which lasted almost 30 years. He will share his favorite memories of life on the soaps at the Women’s Forum, at the Litchfield Community Center Thursday, March 2nd, at 2:30 PM. In addition to The Doctors, he penned scripts for Guiding Light, listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running drama in television in American history—it was broadcast on CBS for 57 years—All My Children; Days of Our Lives; Santa Barbara, and Passions, Rich’s favorite show. His talent was acknowledged with six Daytime Emmy Awards and two awards from the Writers Guild of America. With such a stellar career, Rich has written many classic scenes and memorable dialogue and being asked to mention just one is like asking a mother to choose her favorite child. “Soaps opera lovers may remember what is considered one of the classic moments of daytime television when Reva Shayne on Guiding Light took off her clothes in a public fountain and baptized herself “the Slut of Springfield” to her crippled boyfriend, Josh. The speech went on for about five minutes as Reva basically had a meltdown. Actress Kim Zimmer won an Emmy for her acting and the episode itself received an Emmy as well. In true soap fashion, after Reva was taken home, she woke up in bed to find Josh watching her from his wheelchair. They made love, she cured his paralysis and made it rain–so potent a woman was she.” In their prime, soap operas managed to combine reality with incredibly convoluted plots and character studies. Where else could one find tortured men and women who fell in love, suffered infidelities, murder, lust, mysteries, lies, and secrets? “I think the days of soaps are really behind us,” said Rich. “The Internet has allowed everyone access to everything at anytime. And life has become so fast-paced that few people have five afternoon hours a week to devote to a show. Plus, reality TV, You Tube, and social media all entertain people in a customized way. Today what’s on the news is more outrageous and shocking than any soap ever was.” But we all have memories of those days when soaps held us rapt for that magical hour every day. Rich retired from writing for television and now spends his time decorating houses, designing gardens and writing fiction for fun.
    • I found the ATWT reference to be cleverly done and I enjoyed it. I thought this was another great episode. I'm starting to love Jacob and Naomi as the grounded good guys. June has brought the best out of both of them and both of them have made Derek more bearable.
    • I'm glad she got to Jamey fast and the issue was corrected. I wasn't sure if somebody had hacked his account or not, but turns out it was just an error.  Based on the 6:03 time stamp of his tweet, I only had told her about it 18 minutes before-hand, so that was certainly a quick response by both!
    •   a correction was just issued

    • I did roll my eyes because I hate it when soaps refer to other soaps as soaps. I'd like to think that all soaps belong in the same universe. I hated when GL did it pertaining to Y&R during the Dolly clone story. I hated it today on BTG.  Plus, it was a stupid throwaway line that made no sense. OMG. The breakdown writer and script writer knew Tamara Tunie was Jessica on ATWT. What do they want for it? A cookie?
    • Eva just so happened to be at the casino the night of the accident? How convenient and this feels like something they just thought up when they should have established that she liked to gamble as a hobby at some point before last week   LOL at that ATWT reference. June had me going
    • Agee not Victor! Very good that you are clear and careful what you wish for!
