And, some of us may have gotten the idea she could win NC from her.......because that is what her camp kept saying. The "Game Changer" was NC.........and now that she's lost, not only was he supposed to win because all the black folks who voted for him, but she never was supposed to win it in the first place?

I think we just see that differently, tyler, but it doesn't make either one of us wrong.

In the last 5 weeks, if I would have had a nickel for every time someone on CNN had said Rev. Wright or talked about it.......I could have taken two weeks off from work.

This also includes MSNBC, who had a one hour special on the Rev. Wright crap just this past weekend.

Now......I can't remember either network having any specials on Hilary for some of the things she's said or some of her actions.

So......we'll just have to see this differently. :)

So, by some of the Hillary logic that I have heard, Obama must have had momentum after PA. then.......because he lost by 10 points there.

So.......the worse you lose a state, the more momentum you have.

And also, at least he said it came our horribly wrong and said he was sorry.

She and her co-president husband used sleep deprevation as the excuse why she lied about that Bosnia trip.

And I'll tell you this, also.....

If the situation were completely reversed, and Obama would have lost last night, and his campaign was in debt to the point that he had to loan it money........the same people saying Hillary should be giving the nom now would be saying Obama should think of the party and drop out.

By the logic of Hillary's supporters, there is no point in having the election in November. Polls show Hillary is up front today so she gets to be the Democratic nominee. Of course she was down a month ago, she should have dropped out then I guess. If there is no point in honoring electoral outcomes, I guess there is no point in having elections. Let's just go ahead and re-write the constitution for Hillary. Rules don't matter when you are a Clinton any way.

So she was co-president? Well she definitely lied about that when she was in the White House because she often said she was not. It was a criticism of Clinton that his wife, who was not elected, appointed or subject to senate confirmation, exercised so much power. In a representative democracy having an unelected person serving as president is a bit offensive. Also, and again I know that rules don't apply to Clintons, I guess Bill gets to be co-president too if she is elected. So what if he should not be. Of course, he says that he won't be co-president. She said she wasn't co-president either. Oh those Clintons.

The bottom line is Hillary, by continuing in this race is embarrassing herself. She also putting a lot of party officials in a position of having to tell her, as Bill Richardson and others already have, that they are not backing her. You are going to start seeing a lot of the "superdelegates" in her column switch because she has gone too far with this.

Tyler, CNN has been far far harder on Obama then on Clinton. The fact is that after the Florida debacle, there is no way a network is going to call an election when it is within the margin of error. You are not going to see a state called unless exit polls show a candidate winning by more than 6 points. You can count on that. CNN did not call the election, none on the major networks called Indiana, nobody did and nobody did for the same reason. They could not say with any certainty who would win. Obama blew Hillary's socks off in NC. It was easy and safe to declare a winner there.

From Frank Beckman:

"We had a lively debate over my assertion that there's a palpable anger amongst Barack Obama backers that could become explosive if they feel Clinton stole the nomination. This hasn't been talked about very much. What's interesting is that Tuesday's election results may make the debate moot. Certainly it's a much less likely scenario, as Thomas Edsell reported that the nuclear option at the Rules Committee was predicated Hillary Clinton having a strong showing Tuesday."

The polls do not mean nothing but they are reliable ones that show she is winning by a large margin over McCain. That is what they say. The polls I consulted showed she would win Indiana and Obama would win North Carolina. Those were right since that is what the results showed.

Geraldine's comments caused Hillary to take a hit, just like his association with Wright and the bitter comments caused him to get into negatives. It seems like everyone has moved on from those so I won't bring them up for now.

I am only saying what is true and that is he is carrying the black vote. NC is heavily populated with African Americans so yes he would have a big shot of winning with those statistics. I am not following what you are saying with black/women and white man/Hillary other than black women will go for Obama primarily while other women will probably support her. I guess the white men are more ready to see a woman of their race be in The White House than any others but I am sure some see her as more formidable...I am not sure what explains their support of Hillary.

I already explained to you that the momentum is coming from the remaining primaries pretty much swinging her way. She is gaining in Oregon and will probably win the state once their official primary comes in two weeks. I am not saying to ignore any black votes because we will need them in the election in order to win so that means it would be a wise idea to put Obama on the ticket and see if both he and Hillary (I hope they are the ticket) can make amends with the community so that they give her a second chance. I have been saying for a while that Obama should get the vice presidency or Hillary should if he wins the nomination...I have been saying that a Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary ticket would be unbeatable and win.

    • As much as I love the Nurses Ball, the campiness of it all always comes off as strange and a little cringey, because GH isn't often like that. But whatevs, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. The surprise with Kai was kinda sweet. I wish they had spent more time on that, and given us more of Trina's POV, instead of rushing through it and talking more about his surgery.  But yeah, poor Gio. He really should've escorted Emma instead of Joss

I'm looking forward to seeing him perform though  And, poor Tracy too. She will never be the bad guy in this whole situation with Sonny, Drew, etc., no matter how Chris and Elizabeth (or Frank) choose to write it. Btw, since this is the Nurses Ball, where the hell is Nurse Liz?
    • @JAS0N47 was O'Connor listed in Monday's episode with the BDWs
    • Considering that a soap opera hasn't been launched in over 25 years, I think the show is doing well. In 2025, you're not going to get a soap opera on the level of soaps you watched before the 1990s for a variety of reasons. - All scenes are filmed out of order.  No longer do shows do the live to tape process. - No longer are there rehearsals before filming the episodes. - Most of the greats retired/passed away without teaching a lot of the new generation how to produce or write a soap opera in the pre 2000 way. Also, this isn't filmed where soap operas were filmed so the show is using local talent that is hitting it out of the park.  It reminds me of the CBN soap Another life that used local talent in the Virginia beach area. Lastly, soaps take several months to get going.. and I think the show is in good shape after 56 episodes (at least compared to other soaps that started in the late 80s and 90s like Generations, SunSet Beach, Passions, etc)
    • Cool, thank you for the perspective - helps me appreciate the story more. Totally makes sense - we know BB was so frustrated with the state of the show after its first 6 months that he was ready to cancel it.
    • I couldn't agree more. It's all subjective.
    • It should be better for a show airing in 2025. But that's just my take.
    • I see it. That coat! You're right about her putting a target on her own back though.
    • It's not all bad, or bad at all. I actually really like BTG and look forward to it every day. Yesterday's show was awful, though. So many things were bad or off that I had to vent LOL Haven't watched today's show yet, so I hope I can be nice later LOL
    • Trish Stewart said she felt it was odd that the Brooks daughters would always go to their father all the time and rarely their mother.  I know Bill Bell wanted this second rape story as he wanted it to be during the summer when younger women would be watching. He felt because the Chris story, due to pre-emptions and the writer's strike, had been pushed back to autumn, along with lower ratings, hadn't been as effective and I guess this was a social story he wanted to really get out there.
