He got killed off there to come back to this horrible show and be treated with the utmost disrespect. If I were him, I would tell KC that as long as JER is HW, don't even ask me to walk down the sidewalk where Days films. He could kiss my ass, for real. As I have said before, 'killing' Alice was the last straw for me, and I refuse to watch again until this hack is removed. I'll flip over during commercials of One Life, and all I can do is laugh and gag at the stupidity of his storylines. What's worse, the actors are suffering even more, and their performances clearly show it. But then again, you can only do so much with the [!@#$%^&*] they are forced to work with. JERk needs to be removed now, while there is still a chance to save the show. That window is closing and it is closing at an alarming rate. Unless something is done by spring, DAYS very well could be dead and buried, with no chance for a last minute, sub-par, unbelievable, unexplained storyline swerve. The man has no respect for the shows history what so ever. He modifies it with no explanation at any given time, just to make it fit with the next idiotic plot point. I still don't understand how Jack was able to donate organs. The man has/had Hodgkin's disease! They even made reference to the disease when Jack was dying of some mystery aliment, which has yet to even be named. But sooner or later, Jack will show up again and be cured with some 'experimental drug'. Seems to be a theme in JERk's soaps. Character is sick with unnamed disease. Character gets worse. Now, to go from that to the utter garbage that is on the screen now is disgusting. What's worse, there are so many people who say that they love this garbage. I can't tell that they are wrong, to each their own. All I can say is that I totally disagree. This man, along with KC has ruined this show, and has also helped ruin daytime dramas because other shows have copied his shock SL style. Oh well. I guess JER hasn't learned a damn thing from Jack Smith at Y&R. The actors look so bored with the utter crap they are forced to do every day. Peter once said he couldn't wait to read the script. He couldn't wait because he probably said to himself "What un-Godly crap will this man have me do this week?" I really feel sorry for alot of the veterans on the show. If Days does get renewed, the first order of business from NBC should be the firing of JERk and that whole hack writing team. The absolutely suck donkey balls. GRRR..JER burns me up. I will admit that he has the mind of a good writer. I quit watching Days in 2002 when Jan (my favorite character) left. I started watching again when the SSK started and I was sooooo hooked. My gosh I thought that was good writing. Then, in 2005, when Jan was gone again I realized that I had no reason to watch anymore. NOTHING was interesting to me on the show anymore. I still watch about the last fifteen minutes everyday but it's not the same as when I looked forward to sitting in my living room and saying "What! OMG I can't believe they did that!". It's like he has no idea where he's going, and when his ideas fail, he scrambles to "fix" them. In the process of doing so, he makes things even worse. There are holes, glaring holes, and it ruins what could have been a good thing. If you're a fan of plot-point stories, he's your man. If you prefer character development and character driven stories, he's a hack, for lack of a more PC term. And I don't think the word payoff is in the man's vocabulary. Members Roman Posted February 25, 2006 Members Share Posted February 25, 2006 I watched the beginning of the Zack SL for 5 days. Kristian and Peter and the vets did a wonderful job. It wasn't perfect but it was good drama. After that, I once again had to tune out because it was just a plot device to break up Bo and Hope and put them with Billie and Patrick. What is this with HWs killing children for the specific purpose of breaking up the main couple? Not only that, but bring back vets like Wayne and finally using James Reynolds in these lousy SLs really just makes me shake my head. He can't write a fast-paced, character driven story to save his life, buthe can find people who are so willing to pronounce this crap as great drama. It's gotten to the point that I just can't watch this show so long as he is HW. We see that even though Y&R is still the highest rated show, they made dramatic changes over there. They have actually listened to their fans and have tried to make the changes necessary for the show to stay as a solid number one. Days won't do that, because KC and JER insist that this is what viewers want to see. Well, not me. I hope someone at NBC has the good sense soon to fire not only JER, but have KC sell part ownership of the show so he can be removed as EP. Neither one knows what they're doing. There are people on this and other boards that would praise him to the heavens even if he had a triangle with 3 farm animals. They love anything this hack puts on-screen. Hopefully, one of the things that is being negotiated is his release from the show. If they ever got Sheri Anderson back, Days would take off again.
