1) My all-time favorite soap is GL, followed by AMC, OLTL and ATWT.

2) My all-time favorite actress is Lisa Brown (ex-Iva, ATWT; ex-Nola, GL); and my all-time favorite actors are Michael E. Knight and Larry Bryggman (ex-Dr. John, ATWT).

3) While I do watch GH here-and-there, I am not a fan of Luke or Sonny, nor am I fan of B&B.

I think Christian LeBlanc has gotten bad over the past two years. It feels like torture watching him and Judith Chapman trying to Out-Diva one another in scenes.

Truth is, CJL would be higher on my list; but, as you've said, Y&RWorldTurner, his acting has actually declined in quality.

Still, he's better than Jack Wagner.

NOTE: Susan Lucci is so incredibly "underrated" by people who think it's easy to do

what she does.

Dozens and dozens of women have played the role of glamorous scheming uber-diva but she's

such a gifted temptress/liar/drama queen--AND she doesn't "judge" Erica--so she's able to infuse

her portrayal with something "etheral". She's absolutely an amazing actress and gave us one of

daytimes most iconic, charismatic and believable characters ever. She IS a great actress and

she, just as much as Agnes Nixon, made AMC into an institution.

Julia Barr was another one from that show, but still, Erica Kane is a legend BEYOND daytime.

Anyone that lists Steve Burton as a good actor, let alone one of the best, is not to be taken seriously. I've been watching GH for a year, so I missed the years where he was supposedly good. The old clips I've seen have not impressed me.

Susan Lucci should be on the list for pretty much making the genre a hit and revolutionizing it. I also object to David Canary not being no. 1...you cannot get better than him

When people think of over-the-top "soapy" acting, Susan Lucci is what they are talking about. If she were on when a non-soap watcher was with me, I'd be ashamed to say I watch soaps. She is indeed a star...but she is no actress.

I lvoe James Mitchell but I'm not sure he deserves to be on the list seeing as he hasn't really done any acting on the show in a year or more...

And Hunt Block?? Are they going by his past work which (his awful stableboy character on AMC aside) that/'s fair enough but not so far on OLTL

I adore Susan Lucci and I think she IS underated as an actress however I agree with most people here--she's a star, an icon (as the TV's top 50 icons placing proved) but she is NOT one of the best actors currently on a soap. She's also nowhere near the worse IMHO and she plays Erica to perfection (but there's probably a reason we've never gotten a twin storylien for Erica--can you imagine?)
