Perhaps but she is just so boring and bland that there is a drastic contrast to see all this animation, emotion and colorful performences that Billy delievers and then to see Baker just respond with a "okay" or "that's cool Ritch but...."

She's just so blah. Thus why I call her the blank canvas because really whenever she is in a scene it's up to the other performer to make what they want of it. Cause it doesn't seem that she is going to put any effort into it. Even the exceptional Eakes seems to be at a loss as to how to get her to emote something.

I see no direction or motivation or any strong feelings from her. Just so-so daily goings.

Julia

I really do hope that she does keep mum about Greenlee and Aidan being at Wildwind because they truly are fighting for their lives. They need someone on their side who can assist them and not give about their whereabouts all the while not necessarily harboring them, ya know? I like Julia and know she has a heart so let's see her help the two out.

AMEN AND THANKS R Sinclair. Neither one of them are acting like they should be but they both should be able to love their kids warts and all without the other condeming that. I hate this story and I hate what these writers are doing to them and this entire family for a storyline that has been crap from the start

I actually agree with you on this...and my mother would too...she says the same thing when we have our weekly AMC chat. lol

She plays a mature, boring Babe that can't emote for anything. I'm interested in watching Babe get a really juicy storyline, so we can really see whether this girl has the chops or not.

I'm responding not to today's episode, I didn't watch any scene with Jack; I'm responding to Jack scenes I've seen before today. I don't really care if Jack is supporting his daughter (he should), but what's coming out of his mouth is completely moronic so I've chose not to watch his scenes anymore until this storyline is over.

The one thing I can say about Erica is she doesn't even play it like she "loves" Greenlee as a daughter, she stays real there. No real substantial pretenses there. Jack says and preaches one thing (loving Kendall like his own child, OUR children) and acts a whole 'nother way. Therefore that gives Jack, IMO, the leg up in the full of s**t competition.

It's unfortunate how the show is decimating the Kane-Montgomery family, maybe that's part of the reason the ratings suck - misery and decimation everywhere (read: bad story-telling), plus a whole bunch of new faces most of the audience don't know making up a large percentage of the front-burner.

One would assume kidnapping your friends baby after you saw her going into very premature labor is a FAR stretch even for Greenlee. Yet it happened.

    • The thought has crossed my mind. Tricia Mann-Grant did say in her EW interview w/ MVJ and DD, that Leslie wants to be a Dupree just as bad as she wants Eva to be. I believe now that's the direction they are going in, that maybe she is just obsessed with the family. I could be wrong though.
    • True. But I have always had mixed feelings about that twist. Since I love the Damian storyline which already had twists and turns. Also I could not wait for a new powerful AND BLACK businessman to mix it up at some point with Victor. It just seem like another twist that was added on for twist sake. And also for a character (whether I love him or not) to hijack a new and refreshing storyline so they can be propped.    Once good thing that I can say about JG is that he loves to keep the Abbotts in rotation. So I could see that happening with Diane. I don't think she has mentioned her backstory, either. I would be intrigued.
    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
    • Lol. But Jeffrey was weak to mama. Leslie can go dead because anger is a great motivator via Martin defending HIS mama and just not taking ish altogether. This ain't how it should be. They need not run the show like this. It's too noticeable. The way Eva said mama reminded me of Penny from Good Times. Instead of physical abuse it's mental abuse.
    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.
