The whole thing is very Ugly Betty, something Ron Carlivati said he considered a good soap.

Thursday was another good episode but could have done without Marty.

Viki and Gigi scenes were cute with Gigi trying to find out what happened on Viki's date and Viki would not BUDGE!lol I LMAO when Viki knew what was going on with Gigi's friend in the motel! SCARY!lol

Charlie and Viki were also cute, especially when Viki finally figured out that she never knew Charlie's last name.

I was happy that Nash punched Jared, their rivalry makes me think maybe Gigi will be Nash sister and Jared, Shanes dad. Then the rivalry will continue?

The Buchannons at the ranch was perfect but where was Natalie?

Looking forward to David/Alex/Dorian at the ranch, this is gonna be a HOOT!

i cought OLTL today... wow! when did this show get this good? i guess im gonna have to add the soapnet airing to my tivo.

Viki and Charlie's scenes today are just awesome! I wonder if he's NASH'S father, since it would be ironic for the wine fanatic to have an alcoholic father.

I hope something big happens at the bake-off. Maybe that's where everything comes to a head in Paris. I really want pie now, haha...

How the hell does Marty know they are in Ireland?

I have been loving this show for months now. It's amazing what some talented new blood, following a single vision theory can do for the show. Carlivati managed to clean up Higley's mess and even make her material seem ok. Since he's begun as the solo HW, everything has "meshed" so to speak. The show isn't perfect, but he's giving us what we want. More vets and less of the unneeded characters & characters we don't really like.

Someone around here tries to say that Carlivati isn't doing a good job b/c OLTL is hitting record lows. IMO, that is not his fault. Creatively, the show is having a great return to greatness. The fact that OLTL is stuck inbetween a sinking ship in AMC and a clusterfuck at GH, hurts the show at times. Like I've been saying, I'd much rather a show have low ratings, and be a critical success (like GL has been), and pray the ratings get better. Than have the show be on top and be a creatively bankrupt.

I'll be back more with things to say about the storylines. :D

IA Ryan! Although I do wish there was a different EP. But oh well I'm enjoying the show very much.

To say that the ratings are a good judge of quality is ridiculous. The show is the best soap on the air right now. Viki, Dorian, Clint and Nora are on five days a week in wonderful storylines. Characters that have stifled airtime for years, such as Antonio, are taking a backseat with inoffensive small stories. Marcie is no longer the cute chubby girl with a heart of gold, she's a flawed and strong heroine. Humor is once again rampant in Llanview. The teens act like teens. The ratings are bad because viewers tune out after the disaster that is AMC.

Leevo, will you write a column on OLTL? I'd like to read what you think. Besides....I'm in need of some more "Random Soapy Goodness"

:D

What you are trying to do? Give me some competition in the column writing department? :D

Yeah, I'll update Random Soapy Goodness soon. I have TONS to say on OLTL, I am literally in love.

Add me to the bandwagon. I loved it today.

Aside from the John/Lee/Marty/Cole, today's OLTL was engaging and over too soon, and I watched in real time. The scenes I thought were throwaway were short.

There was a naturalness about it that is no longer present on most soaps - I'm referring to the three younger couples on the patio. I was surprised at how realistic it was.

Loved the last scenes between Jared and Nat, and I kinda hate Nat. MA was at the top of her game today. I'd forgotten she could act. JB was hit and miss as Jared, but made up for it in that well-written scene between him and MA.

Along the same vein of natural, Clint and Nora were delightful. And believable as what they were.

And Viki and Charlie. I didn't see that coming. Good storytelling.

Even Todd and Blair were bearable.... and mature. A big step for them.

And I love nuSara!

Aww no Scotty. I love "MyView of Llanview". Lol, but Leevo hasn't updated his/her blog in a good while. I wanted to see what he/she thought about it.
