Why can't they kill off Spinelli, SAM or some other useless, island character? Why Emily? Why a Quartermaine? This is ridiculous. I'm really hoping this isn't true, but SOW is reliable. I'm bummed.

I thought Alfred was supposed to be next. Sad to say, but I don't think it's NL. I wish that they would recast her, not kill her.

I had heard Alfred to but the most recent SOD referred to the next victim as a she.

Add me to the list of people who could have sworn that NL just signed a new contract not to long ago. I really hope Emily doesn't get killed of, maybe dropped to re-curring but not killed.

And yeah I swear to God I thought I read on SON (back when I wasn't a member) that she had just signed a new contract? I remember vividly several members complaining about it and the actress....

I guess this just proves how fickle TPTB at GH are...they totally pimped Emily as the young heroine of the show for years, despite many complaints about NL's acting and the fact the character was hogging so many stories; and now, just as people start to find her tolerable and she's not being overused, they get rid of her? Poor move, Emily has potential to be a great GH character. I don't see them killing Emily off, because then where would that leave Nikolas? GH is like DAYS with it's reliance on couples...

Even if she did sign a contract like was reported a few months ago they are easily changed their minds.

Contracts do nothing but protect the show. It locks the actor at a certain salary as well as keep them from leaving the show before the execs are ready for them to.

Natalia was rumored to be exiting the show anyway, but she freaked when the news got out via the GH Fan Club President. She signed a one year deal a few months ago.

To me, it's not such a big crime. Emily's not a real Quartermaine to me anyway....not since Natalia took over.

It's crazy and a stupid move if GH kills off Emily. GH's TPTB definitely must hate the Quatermaines by killing off yet another one. I sure hope this is untrue.

I don't quite understand the logic of killing off this character unless the show is trying to write the entire family out. I say bring Natalia on DAYS as Sara Horton, and pair her with EJ!
