I could definetly stomach Drake returning as Roman (the real one) and Josh Taylor's Roman is an imposter.

That way John would be dead, the real Roman with Drake would be back and Josh Taylor would be history.

J&M fans would still be happy and DAYS win in the ratings.

I might be completely off base, but I've felt that the main reason we've not seen much of Marlena has been because of John and whatever conflict has been going on behind the scenes since January). Marlena seems to have gotten more airtime than John even though it's been with Belle or Sami. And *if* John is actually gone, I'm expecting to see more of Marlena. Maybe not a return to the "Marlena show" like it was during the 80s and most of the 90s, but still more quality scenes and storylines.

For me Marlena is historically a more important character than John (or Roman). She was a strong and independent career woman who was involved in almost every storyline - and with every character - for twenty some years (thus the reason for calling Days the "Marlena Show").

She still has the potential to enhance the show and pull in and hold onto older viewers -- more so than John on his own could; and with him out of the picture, I can see her reclaiming her personality and being an integral part of the show. The fact that Days re-signed her indicates, to me, that they do intend to use her: or at least I'd like to believe that. Honestly, Marlena has been pulled down by John and lost her strength and individualism - and this wasn't a Sheffer move, so I can't put the blame on him.

i doubt it d hall will be on for i give it a week then it will be backburned Marlena again..and more Chloe and the gang doing more fundraising at the bar

I have read many people talking about how Lucas or Will or EJ or Belle may be the one who hit John but honestly unless these people buy new cars every week how could Marlena not recognize a car from someone she sees all the time. the only way this could be possible is if Will stole a car and was out joyriding or lucas was driving his mistrisses car or ej forced someone to give them their car to hit john or Belle stole Lauren's keys and car. It better not be any of them or someone marlena knows. this frustrates me sometimes.........

Well its definetly not Belle since she was in class when it happens and comes out and sees her father lying on the ground. I think EJ will be with Sami when she gets the call as is Lucas.
