ROTFLMAO!

My team, with me included of course, would only come to about eleven -- which is around what AMC has now (I forgot to add that I was firing Marla Kanelos). That 23 people thing had me like :blink: !

Guiding Light Changes

1) Kill off Jeffrey O'Neill (Two words: Wood. Chipper. And I would ignore any of the pleas of his whacked out fan base for a third character for this man.)

2) Get rid of: Rafe, Cassie, NOTDylan, Gus, Natalia, Matt, Leah, Ava, Remy, Ashlee. A few months ago, I would have also said Marina, but Cyrus seems to have breathed a bit of life into her lately. I'd also let Olivia out of her contract. As much as I love her, Liv needs, at the very least, an extended break. She has caught second-hand suck from Jeffrey and Ava.

3) Demote to recurring: Frank (I like FD, but I am awestruck at how he has been passed over for the recurring list while better actors and characters have gotten the proverbial boot). Possible: Buzz. It doesn't seem like Buzz will ever have a true story again, so why waste the contract space?

4) Put on contract: Vanessa and Blake. Maeve brings SO much class to the show. She should be on much more.

5) Bring back (in the interest of being "realistic," I'll just bring back the few that NEED to be on): Ed Bauer (Peter Simon, of course), Alan-Michael Spaulding, Michelle Bauer (sans Danny and sans the vapid Nancy St. Alban), Holly Lindsay, Hope Bauer, and Phillip Spaulding. If possible, I'd also bring back Ross, but only with JvD.

6) Story Ideas: Blake and A-M team up to take down Alan. They succeed in kicking Alan out of the company and the once proud patriarch gets what's coming to him when he loses EVERYTHING.

Beth realizes that she has become a psycho Spaulding bitch and decides to return to her roots by opening up an art gallery.

Harley and Gus look upon their relationship and realize that they should be together, just as a drug bust goes wrong and Gus gets killed in the line of duty.

Cyrus is about to rob Alex of everything that she is worth when she surprises him by revealing that she set him up and knew about everything. She then divorces him, kicks him out of the house, and has him arrested. Cyrus decides to flea Springfield and Marina goes with him, where they truly fall in love.

Vanessa sees Dinah and Mallet lock lips and runs to Billy's office at Lewis Construction, where they have sex.

Phillip returns to town and reveals that he was in Europe with Justin and Sam getting treated. Ross also was there and didn't even get on the plane that crashed. When he heard of the plan crash, he repeatedly tried to get in contact with Blake, but the letters and phone calls were intercepted by Jeffrey, who wanted to ruin her mayoral chances.

Olivia and Jeffrey decide to get married. However, at the rehearsal dinner with everyone in town as witnesses, Olivia reveals that she led him on to get revenge and then makes a humiliating public hurange about Jeffrey and the rape.

Sounds good. How about dropping the ugly distorted filmlook(which IMO,never should have been kept around this long)in favor of the unprocessed video look, changing the lighting so it isn't so dark, the return of Cortlandt Manor,The Boutique,The Glamourama and Linden House.

    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
