Kerber out in R1.

Muguruza had a scare against Taylor Townsend, but survived in three.

Grigor, who was up two sets to love and had won 11 straight games, is going five with Tipsy.

And Diatchenko only wins one game after winning that first set lol.

Shapovalov goes out in straights to Struff. People are saying that something’s going on with him personally, but who knows?

So Medvedev, Basilashvili, and Cecchinato all out in R1. All top 20 players, all in the bottom half.

Medvedev wasn't known for being good on clay. He did improve this year. Basilashvilli just hits the ball as hard as he can....he shouldve won the warm up tourney last week but lost to FAA. If Basilashvilli is on blasting the ball he will win if not.he loses rarely easy. Cecchinato dropped 19 spots in the rankings from 19 to 38 with the loss and could drop more depending on how those ranked behind him do.

Hmmmm......wonder what it is?? He is another blast the ball as hard as you can and if he is on he wins if not he loses. He has no B plan. FAA has now passed him as the number 2 ranked Canadian.
