TC and that lousy ESPN+ like the ITF, ATP & WTA are just doing a big money grab.  TC didn't even have to show the Challengers from Dallas as there is a dedicated website where one can stream it for free.

Also, if you have a streaming device like Roku, you can watch on your TV set from their Livestream Channel. Again, without a paid subscription, as long as you have the Roku box.

The Challengers on TC is just another event that will compete with, and take time away from matches from the other Tour events.  Doesn't make any sense to me.

But none of these entities/companies actually care what tennis fans and subscribers want, they care about chasing dollars.

It is a listing of who is the tenth ranked player from each country.  Who is ranked number 10.

For example, who is the #10 ranked player in the USA? Bradley Klahn is the 10th ranked American player.

Don't ask me what significance it is to see who is ranked at #10 in their respective countries (shrugs).

Tennis loves to create milestones and markers that bear no significance to anyone but stats-crazy people.

I think it’s an attempt at a depth metric for each country. I don’t think it’s *that* useful in theory (one country could have five players in the top 40 and then their No. 6 is #185 and No. 7 is #587), but it does sort of line up with which countries usually have the most options in, say, Davis Cup, should top players decide not to play.

If only they gave a fig about Davis Cup, amirite?

And they were just at it on TC. Tracy Austin gushing over how many American males were in top 100 and then mentioning those outside the 100 and how great American male tennis is looking...gag me.

They were raving about doubles specialist Nichole Melichar in their Fed Cup coverage yesterday, and she flopped.  Just as she flopped when commentators kept raving about her over the summer during her World Team Tennis debut.

I continue to be unimpressed by her.  At this point, I take everything commentators say with a grain of salt.

Totally. Seems people are much more invested in the (not even) glorified exhibition that is Laver Cup these days, as expensive as it is. But DC could have been really fun.

WTF!  What happened?

Don't know. Everyone is wondering what happened. Why she would fire him and call him just a hitting partner after winning the Aussie Open. Lindsay Davenport thought something was up when she just called him a hitting partner and praised everyone else but him after her final win.

Uh, well, I wasn't expecting to hear this news.  Is it a money related issue?  Or job title/duties?  This has to be the most unexpected coaching announcement that I've heard in quite some time.

Sascha will certainly be in demand as a coach. But I hope nothing foul went down.

Time for Madison or Sloane to start dialing fast!!

What may have worked for NO, may not work for others.  Remember, he's been passed around like a new prison inmate so you have to give NO her props.  I think she will do just fine.

He has an enticing resume for someone who might be struggling. I just wonder when Muguruza and Sumyk will tire of each other, given Garbiñe’s piss-poor results as of late.

Mugu and Sam seem to feed off of their disfunction.

Has Sascha only worked with the women's tour? I'd love to see him work with either Tsitsipas, Thiem or Grigor.......Grigor is the one in need.....looked like Andre was ready to bolt after his loss in Australia.
