Didn't Stefano and Shawn Sr play with a toy truck in some of the Santeen flashback scenes? That may be the reason why Shawn Sr doesn't want them playing with it.

Today was really good. Bope are so much fun and I couldn't help but laugh at Andre in the nun costume. I can't figure out how Andre got that little boy to help him. That was odd.

The baby story has already become a fave of mine. MBE just melts my heart and SN was so great today with little "Pocket." The scenes were so cute and SN was hilarious when asking if the baby is worried about global warming and if he liked the cubs. Good use of Abe and Lexie too, given their history.

Belle/Shawn/Philip/Billie was good as well. I like seeing so much of Billie and JKJ was great the way he teared into Shawn and Belle. I also like how Belle came back at him too. Good scenes.

The bombs are getting ridiculous. Variety is a good thing, Hogan.

Good start to the week.

Enjoyed today's show. The Kayla/Patch/Pocket story is really drawing me in. I floved Hope and Bo today. They are soo adorable these days. I thought from seeing Andre dressed as a nun to the little boy appearing out nowhere (knowing that he was gonna leave abomb behind) had this gothic/eerie feeling to it. Loved it.

For the first time, I am starting to feel like a Steve and Kayla fan with this baby story. Aside from the kid being named Pocket! UGHHHHHHHHH!

Enjoyed the Phillip-Shawn confrontation, mainly because I just can't enough of someone pointing out how much Shawn sucks. Too bad Belle had to defend him, even if she was sort of right. But Belle if your man hadn't shacked up with that hooker instead of being with you and Claire the minute he found out she was his kid then Phillip and Victor wouldn't have had the chance to use Willow to blackmail him.

I love the Bo and Hope investigative/adventure duo but the non-fatal bombs need to STOP yesterday!

eta: WTF was up with the still shot special effect with the Payla-Pocket portrait with Steve looking deranged? Totally took me out of the show to laugh at how awkward it was.

The Dimeras really need to employ a better bomb maker.

I have to laugh every time Sami, Hope, Marlena, Bo, etc. talk about this horrible feud between the two families because it's been the most bloodless feud ever. Has anyone died--and stayed dead? Except Bart. Yeah, Stefano did some kidnapping, but everyone was eventually found alive. I don't mean to sound bloodthirsty here, but for this feud to have the proper drama someone needs to die...and stay dead.

Good episode today overall. I just love that baby! The scenes with S/K and the baby were probably my favorites today. Bo and Hope were good, but I couldn't figure out why they kept going in and out of the rain and I got tired of Hope complaining about her shoes. It's Ireland, it rains, wear something suitable! It also bugged me that I couldn't remember if Bo took the key out of the tabernacle. LOL at Andre dressed as a nun...not his best look!

More Billie today! I just love her and get a kick out of her pushing Philip around. He needs a bossy big sister to tell him to calm down. After today, Belle had better agree to move out of the Kiriakis mansion; it's ridiculous they are still living there anyway. HER FATHER IS LOADED! He could buy her her very own mansion if she needs one so bad.

Days4Life, thanks for saying what I've been dying to.

John IS loaded. It's perhaps wrong to say, but he could give Belle whatever she wants.

Screw this whole "We can't afford it BS." And I thought Hogan was supposed to be a smart writer who "gets it."

He's done some things right (the incredible Stayla/Pocket/Philip saga), but this is just WRONG. No one in Salem should feel sorry for Shawn OR Belle.

I have said it before, but didn't John give Belle the loft when she and Philip lived there? I believe he owned it. Just another inconsistency in the writing unless I missed something where he sold that too. When Belle and Philip split after the Claire reveal, why didn't she just stay there instead of having to move in with her parents? Oh yeah, it's Belle we are talking about isn't it! Miss "someone has to take care of me" Belle.

    • Apologies Slick- not updating my somewhat disorganized lists. Michael Fairman THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS   Patrick "Murph" Murphy   2008-14  2017 recurring DAYS OF OUR LIVES  Mr Schroeder 1977 Wesley Ann Pfenning THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS   Lauralee 'Lorie' Brooks August 1980 Temp replacement for Jaime Lyn Bauer
    • I sure don't pretend to have expert recall, lol.   In the first episode, Sally McGuire famously said, "Kind of a drag, isn't it.  Being stuck in a place like Genoa City.  God, I feel so restless."  In the same episode, the truck driver told Brad Eliot, "Genoa City -- nice-sized town, but I prefer St. Paul.  That's where the family is."     We were given the idea from Day One that Genoa City was a fairly *small* to *mid-sized* Midwestern metropolis, not nearly as big as a Chicago or even a Detroit or Minneapolis.   In the early 1990s, Victor Newman advised Hope Wilson that Genoa City was comparable to Wichita, Kansas -- population about 400,000 in 1990, with a metro population of around 500,000.   The high-rises that I remember being featured from early on were the Genoa City Hotel and Genoa Towers.  There was a restaurant called "The Embers" in one of them (Genoa Towers, I believe). Lorie Brooks moved into a penthouse, circa 1978, which was located at 247 East Chestnut.  Lorie's unit was #2500, indicating her apartment was on the 25th floor.  Vanessa Prentiss jumped to her death from the balcony in 1981.  During Lorie's trial, they gave the address about a zillion times -- "247 East Chestnut #2500".  This was an inside joke of Bill Bell's, because his co-writer, Kay Alden, resided in real-life at 247 East Chestnut #2500 in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago.  From Lorie's balcony, we could see a cluster of several high-rises -- not a Chicago by any stretch of the imagination, but more a Wichita.   Jabot's corporate offices were on 4th Street.  The "corporate suites" were on the 12th floor, indicating the building was likely 12 stories.  Kevin Bancroft, an architect, was hired to design a new high-rise (Newman Towers) in 1981.  Much ado was made about Newman Towers being 35 stories, among the tallest in the city.  The address given for Newman Towers was 7800 Melrose, another Bill Bell inside joke -- Y&R was recorded at 7800 Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles.  Paul moved his office into Newman Towers to "upgrade his image".  As someone mentioned, Nikki took an apartment in Newman Towers to "have a place in town to spend the night" when she "didn't feel like driving back to the ranch"; instead, her apartment became a love nest with Jack Abbott.  Victor and Diane, during their marriage, lived on the top floor of Newman Towers.  The show did a few remotes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, back in the 1980s and early 1990s.  Evidently the production staff felt Pittsburgh mirrored what we were seeing on-screen -- cold and snowy, good-sized Rust Belt metropolis.  I believe Pittsburgh's population was around 500,000 at the time, comparable to the "Wichita-sized city" Victor described to Hope.   In the early 2000s, there were some "establishing shots" filmed around Charlotte, North Carolina.   Not sure why they selected Charlotte over Pittsburgh.  Probably figured found a couple of buildings there on which "Newman Towers" and "Jabot Cosmetics" could be airbrushed easily.
    • Yeah, they played it wrong with them last time including the idiotic engagement to Jax (a go-to Ron always goes for with returning characters for no reason and did with Scott and Laura in an equally ridiculous subplot around the same time - there was no way those two would reunite again). But Brenda raising hell in town, antagonizing Carly, reconnecting with A.J. and Robin, even the Michael tease all worked for me because it was about her being central, able to be plugged in anywhere and shaking up the canvas. That is what she is best at and what she can do. Sonny has to come to her where she lives and especially after what happened to their marriage.
    • I mean maybe RH and Vanessa would pop off in chemistry lol.. I actually wouldn't be surprised.   I honestly don't need Brenda in random pairings but I need some movement on Sonny's part to not be the worst.  Because I feel like the always put them back together on popularity with zero movement in the actual lovestory.  And I do feel like the show plays Brenda as so lovelorn for Sonny..which fine, but Sonny is a actual trash bag fire with like 17 kids from 17 moms so...........
