I'm back! :)

Anyway - loved the Erica/Greenlee snarkfest. Go Erica!

Nice to see Livia again...

What's been up with Annie lately...I think she is hiding something from her past, which is why she's acting way too weird about the things Zach did.

Greens is crazy to think erica would help her ruin her grandchild's father. Erica may not like zach, but they both love kendall and don't want her hurt. LMAO at Livia saying Derek hasn't been out in a while, when's the last time livia has seen her husband????

LOVED that Derek/Livia scene. It was long, adorable, and Livia was so funny with her brother. :) Could this be a sign that we'll finally have some good Frye screentime...Derek/Krystal...Livia....Derek being nice and hanging out with friends again....love it.

Love how Erica is being a good motherly influence over Sean too.

Michelle Patrick, a long standing advocate for diversity on the ABC soaps, was credited at writing both the breakdown and the script today. Derek and Livia get a long scene and a great scene, coincidence? I think not. I am loving today's show. The scenes are balanced... lately all these characters are showing up at random times. Like Jack and Pam, Sean. Love it!

Annie is such a little annoying bitch. I love her but mind your own damn business! She comes down on Di next because Di knew about the blackout too. And Susan and Sabine have chemistry. Loved their scenes and hope its one of many in the future! Sabine is rocking this role when she isn't whining! I am loving her portrayal more and more everyday but I absolutely am loathing GreenWitch now! GO KENDALL!

ETA: Ryan's sperm is actually now being referred to as SPERM and not sample. Must have been a McTavish thing LOL!

I agree but I don't think they can just sweep this under the rug. They have to flesh it out but hopefully once that happens it will be over. At least McTavish isn't writing the continuation!

I love Sean and Erica! She is so great with him.

That first Livia/Derek scenes was really great.

I would have enjoyed the E/G scenes more if Greenlee didn't once again start whining, stop with the whining tone. Enjoyed Erica smacking her down.

So, so, so wrong to recreate Thanksgiving 2005. And the newly done flashbacks just keep getting worse.

Tad and JR's nice, warm scene (about Tad seeing Dixie in JR) didn't work for me because of the history McTavish left behind.

I have just started ignoring the faux flashbacks. I am not sure why AMC feels they have to do this. They never really have before with big recasts. It just takes away from the original. The whining scenes need to stop so I agree there but Erica so owned her as she always has and always will!

I definitely agree - it is hard to recreate any Budig performance, but the Thanksgiving one is untouchable...and made Sabine pale in comparison to RB.

Really liked the way Tad handled JR's news about becoming a Martin. Tad is really getting back on my good side finally.

Like I said, re-creating the flashbacks is quite unnecessary.... all they do is make us long for Rebecca Budig even more! Something they don't want to be doing when they are trying to recast a powerhouse role like Greenlee!

Julie Hanan Carruthers fiddling around with "fresh" ideas again I am sure

Today's episode was fantastic! I just must say. I loved everything. Michelle Patrick, WRITE MORE EPISODES!!!!

Love her.

Thanksgiving 2005 is like sacred in my book, to almost destroy the memory of it like that. Ugh. That was one of the best weeks of overall performances that this show has since like Jan. 2005, the show was on fire that week. All the newly done flashbacks have pretty much sucked, but their was something extra wrong about touching a week like that, an episode like that.

Absolutely no doubt and just another terrible idea. Terrible. It does give you much more room for comparison and some of those scene really shouldn't be touched, as I've said before it would be more effective to just have Kendall and nuGreenlee discuss the scenes.

I didn't feel the episode was anything special. The Derek and Livia scene was terrific though.

Damn I think I really, really like Sean/Colby. I got a rise out of seeing them in the preview with Adam.

Yeah - overall a good episode. Great balance - no Babe, Ryan, Krystal, Adam, Josh. Still waiting for a non-Greenlee/Zendall episode though...just to get other storylines some fresh air.

Anyone else a little worried about Aiden? This is the 2nd time Di has mentioned how worried she is about him....she hasn't heard from him at all while he is on a mission. Hope he doesn't get hurt or something...we need more Di/Aiden screentime.

Aiden Turner, I wouldn't be surprised if the show finally cuts his contract. I am sure B&E will do some cast cuts. I like Aidan and Di.... but I mean if they aren't going to use Aiden, get rid of him. He's been in storyline limbo for years.

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
    • Yesterday's show:   Can they give Ambyr Michelle the Emmy for supporting actress already?   Truly enjoyed the episode from Leslie and Eva, Eva and Ted, Nicole and Dani to Anita and Nicole.

    • Yes, I noticed after discovering Chandler was in several episodes. It's a shame it was canceled. I'm glad I was able to watch Chandler's episodes.
    • I'm Catholic, and I care, as do many who aren't Catholic. No need to be so nasty about it.. The whole episode was on Paramount Plus. That is where I watched it..
