Hi! Everyone, i`m a new member on your site, i think?, i`m not really a computer genius but i think that all i am doing is right. Let me introduce myself, i`m Andrew and im a happy guy from Sweden in Europe. I am twenty soon and normal person nothing really specular about me, exept that me being not from the states might effect some spelling problems, but i think it will work. I Have for a long while been watching this site and i think it`s a great site for anyone who is a soapfreak or just a lover of soap operas, i have been watching soaps for almost ten years, i remember me being caught up on DAYS OF OUR LIVES back in the the late 1997 episodes with crazy Kristen and all of the other great roles Eileen played Susan Banks was a real fun character who me and my mother laughed about alot, and don`t even get me starting on Mary Moira, back then i thought that this soap was the best with Bitchy but classic Kate, Funny Vivian & Ivan, Hysterical Sami, The Good ones Carrie, Mike, Austin, Lucas, Jennifer, Jack etc, and evil Stefano was always great, and Laura who was about to lose her mind back then was always great to watch, and Celeste and her blond wig, but one of the greatest i think was Princess Gina/Hope/Bo, and Ali McIntyre, she was just so fun and crazy, played by great actress Lisa Linde, why cant they just bring Lisa back to the show?, but then again the ones everyone wants back are not often the ones that actually returns, Kristen, Vivian, Ivan. Right now on Days of our Lives we have the late 2003 episodes before the murders, and right now i think the show sucks big time, but i keep watching it, call me crazy.

Another soap i love is Emmerdale, a real soap opera with real actors who looks the part of living in a small village, the biggest difference with english and american soaps is probaly that old actors in their late 60ts up to their late 70ts, sometimes 80ts are sometimes on just as much as the teens, in Emmerdale we have Edna Birch, who always complains about something, and Old man Jarvis whoes really bitter, and then there`s gossipping Betty who loves gossip more than anything. Yes in the uk, it dosen`t really matter how old you are. Well now i have written a lot, i could keep on writing about me, but i dont think you cant find it too interesting. I hope i fit in good with everyone.

I Really hope something good happens with Days of our lives soon, cause right now. What i dislike most about the 2003 eps, is the way they have rewritten people, i mean take Kate, i jused to like the bitchy Kate, that used to hate Sami and had bitchfights with Vivian, but now she has become a softy who has fallen in love totally with Roman Brady, but i`ve heard that they make her bitchy by 2005 i think, i hope so cause i think every show needs a good bitch, and right now in sweden hysterical Sami is the only one on the show right now.

Hey Andrew and welcome to the board, I'm from Sweden too. ;) Must say I'm not even watching the "swedish episodes" right now, havn't been for almost a year. The spoilers ruined it for me so I don't find it fun to watch something when I know exactly what's gonna happen. I watch the US episodes instead.

Anyway, happy posting and I hope you'll like it here. :)

      It's been brought up that Empty Nest was a time slot hit. Here's Empty Nest schedule and seasonal rating in comparison to The Golden Girls. 1988/89: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1989/90: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1990/91: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 10th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 7th. 1991/92: The Golden Girls Saturday 8 pm, 30th (final season). Empty Nest Saturday 9 pm, 22nd.  1992/93: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1993/94: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1994/95: Saturday 8:30 pm then 8 pm, below the Top 30, and cancelled. Empty Nest 7 season run equaled the parent show The Golden Girls.

      In an interesting turn of irony, when Somerset came onto the airwaves in 1970... it ran against Dark Shadows and beat it in the ratings fairly quickly.  Then when Edge of Night moves to ABC in December 1975 and put against Somerset, the slow ratings rise that Somerset was allegedly having in late 1975 is derailed. From reading the write ups of the final year, the show dropped the May/December romance.. which viewers enjoyed and was getting the show some good press... the original cast member was sidelined due to medical issues, and the show featured pure crime stories without any balance. I think the crime focus was an attempt to compete with EON.  However, people that were into crime stories/mysteries weren't going to tune into Somerset for their fix.. not when Edge of Night was known for that.. and that show was running on a high quality wise when the network switch occurred.

      Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

(IG post link)  It's a batch of photos.       I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
