All: Which soap should pick up the DAYS stars when it's cancelled?

Say the show is cancelled in 2009, where do you want the actors to end up?

Alison Sweeney - I've always said she'd be the perfect Victoria on Y&R. If Heather Tom isn't going to return they need to scoop her up. The only problem is that she'll probably try primetime and do well. But I can totally see her bringing Victoria back to her roots.

Diedre Hall - I think Y&R would be smoking crack if they didn't bring this original cast member back! It would be just like a new character since most of the people she interacted with have been written off the show. They could give her a child, have her move back to Genoa City and mix things up. Would be a major thing having her back on the show, plus she's an original cast member so she does has history with the show. I'd love to see her and Jill as friends considering Jill has none. Would be a smart move, IMO.

Lauren Koslow - I've said it many times, but she needs to be back as Margo. I'm sure they will try to get her since they already did a couple years back. But will Brad do his three-to-six and fire her? Who knows? But I definitely see B&B in her future.

James Scott - He'd make a good Simon at ATWT and wasn't he being considered before Paul Leyden decided to return? Hopefully they remember and bring him on for Katie. Austin Peck is a disaster and Scott could be a real leading man opposite the very talented Terri Columbino. Plus it would be nice to have Simon back for an extended period of time.

DAYS won't be on NBC past 2009, I think that is pretty much assumed. I would only support moving it to another network if it didn't interfere with the existing schedules but I agree with DeeDee, a Passions type deal would be the best route.

Honestly, Direct TV or SoapNet really isn't an option for Days either. Days is one of the costliest soaps to produce, Passions is not. Days also has a well established cast with many big name actors who've been there for years, Passions not so much. Not to mention the seniority Days has in the soap universe. It's gonna take a lot of money to keep the production of Days going, which is something Direct TV and SoapNet can't financially offer.

Well i think they could use Alison Sweeney, Lauren Koslow, Bryan Datillo for any show really.

I think Suzanne Rogers should get hired by a show who treats its vets really good, if there is a show like that, i think Y&R or AMC could hire her to play a bitch, i really would like Suzanne Rogers to play a more fiesty woman.

But Please dont hire Deidre or Drake, i now a lot of people like them, but sorry i am not one of them, they are good together cause they are just as bad actors, sorry Deidre and Drake, but that is only what i think.

    • Shari Anderson was also head writer for a few months before the strike began.
    • I would agree.  Does anyone ever notice in Jan 1988/even Dec 1987, the show started to refer to characters from the past and mainly the Frame family?   It sounded like Lemay talk.  Jason Frame mentioned his sister Sharlene in early 88 but the ending credits still listed MD has head writer and I think Lemay was about to take over at that point.  The show hired Lemay back I believe to prepare for the 25th anniversary and try to recapture the audience that was lost by bringing the past back up.  Then the writers strike happened and all of a sudden the writing changed except when Sharlene Frame came back and we heard more family chatter again.  Maybe at this time they knew the strike was coming near to an end the producer forced the scab writing team to introduce Sharlene. I suspect even though Lemay was not writing at the time, the intent was he is coming back and the show consulted with him on his future storylines.
    • -- My Laugh of the Day goes to Carly calling the Metro Court a "five-star hotel." -- It's crazy, but what Drew did to Wiley makes Drew come off worse than if he actually murdered someone. -- Cynthia Wattros really needs to lay off the Botox. Because her face doesn't move, she's doing WAY too much with her eyes. -- Josh Kelly is looking so good with the new haircut. -- Rory Gibson continues to impress as nuMichael. Just another reminder that Josh Griffith doesn't know how to write for talent. -- This Lucky goodbye is sad -- in all the wrong ways. It could not be more pathetic. There's no doubt in my mind that Valentini told the writers they had 3 days to write him out and to make it ugly. No one will miss JJ.

      We all have our picks
    • Teach me to post cocky about all these rampant relations! As for the cut, it just made Leo Howard look more stunningly handsome. There are guys I think are hotter, but he's got the prettiest face hands down.
    • Yes Arianna and Sami are blood related through Sami and Theresa. They are also adoptive/honorary related because Arianna's third.parent is Sonny, which makes Arianna and Tate related through Justin and Isabella.
    • I saw more about Biden Old or the staged feud between Elon and Trump or just the usual distractions, but I will admit I don't stomach most of the news anyway.
    • Figured it was something like that. It's just feels weird that Will came back to see John but he's not gonna be at his funeral but

They are blood related. Through Sami and Theresa. I didn't notice it last week, but it looked so fresh today. Like he got cut minutes before they started filming or something lol
    • Bill convinced the Governor to pardon Luna. Steffy was too busy badmouthing Hope & Brooke for most of the Spring to concern herself with such trivial matters.
