I don't like that Hack has made Miles her new psycho. We go from one obsessed lover to the next. I really do wish Hack would stop writing all the same stories and plugging a different newbie into it each times she restarts. Let's see, we had the Vangie/John/Natalie triangle from hell; then we had the Nash/Jessica/Antonio triangle from hell; I assume there already is another triangle from hell in the works.

The we had the Mad Mags/Todd obsessed lover story; then we had the Spencer/Blair obsessed lover story; now we have the Miles/Marty obsessed lover story. Hrrrmph. I hate this and I besides, I liked Miles.

Now on to today's show. I really really like Nash and Jessica, but it is also time to let them have some time off. The cancer story could have potential if it actually was about the Buchanans. I really do like Nash and Jessica, I just don't think any couple should be on this much.

Why are they making Viki a busybody? Yeah right, her goal would be to get in the middle of Jessica's marriage. It would be really nice if Higley wrote stories for characters rather than using her storylines to punish actors who speak out against her. Viki has had more than one affair. It's not like she would condemn Jessica or Nash.

Antonio was a butthole. He never is responsible for anything. And I'm glad. He plays a great butthole. I do hope, however, they are about to address the entire Santi issue. Kamar can play layers and he can play a character fighting a dark side. That doesn't mean he has to be anger boy. I really would like just once for him to acknowledge that he is partially at blame for things that go wrong in his life.

Once this never ending triangle and cancer story ends, I hope Jessica and Nash become an outlaw couple. I don't want Jessica hating Viki though and I don't want Viki hating Jess.

Me too. It makes total sense that someone who had gone through what Marty had would take some self defense classes. I love that they didn't make her the helpless little victim.

Antonio really is acting like an ass. When he told Cris he wasn't his brother I wanted to smack him. This temp is going a great job, imo. I miss KDR, but they picked a good recast.

The temp Antonio is doing a great job but I sure would have loved to have had KDLR doing these scenes, it left me feeling like I didn't get a payoff where Antonio and Jessica are concerned. I guess we see TempAntonio board that plane with Jamie and then when Nash finds him it will be Kamar/Antonio.

Even though I do believe that Randolph Mantooth is doing a good job as Kirk, he's still a sleezeball just like his son and I do not want him in Viki's orbit, she already has to deal with a jerk in her life as it is. LOL.

I loved that they had follow-up where Viki's blood being taken is concerned, and I for one would love it if it came back that they found a match and Paige tells them it is Dorian. The looks that Viki and Dorian give to each other could be priceless, then the women would have to come clean. I think it would be an addition to this story.

Enough of Marty. Why do we need to see her EVERY day on the screen?

Don't know why but I cannot wait to see egg ALL over Adriana and Dorian's face where Tate is concerned. That man can't leave fast enough for me.

OK on Friday's show. I always love Bree and Erika in scenes together and today was no exception. I thought Forbes played his part well too. Viki acted as she should. Nash acted as he should. Jessica acted as she should. The dialouge though early on between Nash and Jessica was incredibly trite. However, I really overalled enjoyed the three of them today. No one gave up their ground and they should not have been expected to give it up.

Also, everything in the omlette discussion was so funny. You gotta have some humor in the dark show. And it is way too dark all the time now. Humor, hmmm, who do you think wrote it?

I hope at some point I see the one-on-one conversation between Viki and Jessica about all of this. No cancer, no Nash, No Antonio, just the two of them. it's time to wrap up the DID story and all the guilt and consequences, and to recognize there is a new Jessica. That is the conversation that Viki and Jess need to have. They need to forgive each other.

You know, I'm not buying Miles the obsessed lover. It isn't necessary and it's contrived. It's also the same thing we have seen twice previously.

I love Blair and Star together. The chemistry in the core families of this show is so good. The show really should be built on that chemistry.

I like Antonio and Talia. I expected a little bigger reveal about something with Talia. It was a nice story on her part, but it was overhyped in advance. I like them and hope to see them develop as a couple.

I think today was the first time that I've liked Jess/Nash in a very long time, and I know it was because of Viki. And I like you, loved that no one backed down, they each stood their ground. They were actually great scenes once I got over Nash being so rude, but that's me just protecting my girl, Viki. LOL.

It's nice to see the scenes when Blair actually acts like a mother, and I still can't seem to get behind this Starr mooning over Cole, because I truly think she can do so much better.

Don't know why but whenever I see Marty and Cole together, I just get this ewwww feeling where these two are concerned. I don't see them as mother/son.

Man I wish they wouldn't turn Miles into a stalker because I really like the character and the actor.

I know, I think that exact same thing about Marty and Cole!! I think ewwww nasty for some reason. He looks closer to Marty's age than Starr's. I think Starr could do better too and I remember that kid from two years ago who was so cute and such a good actor. He was the young guy she met in New York. They should have kept that kid.

After 9/11 she went and worked the tower. She worked hard and was very stressed. Two weeks later there was a call about a bank robbery. She was stressed, but didn't want anyone to think a cop of Middle Eastern descent couldn't handle it. When she and her partner arrived at the bank the bad guys came out and started spraying the scene with automatic weapons. Talia started zoning. Her mind returned to the towers and in her mind she saw people jumping off the tower and flames. She didn't know what was going on at the bank. Her partner stepped in front of her and took a bullet to the chest and died. She acknowledged she should not have been working.

It's not bad, it's just with the lead up, I expected a little more.

Yeah, I like her character too.

    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago that perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. Since we hardly know anything about Leslie's childhood background. In addition, Leslie said she grew up listening to The Articulettes….
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.

    • I'm not sure who wanted them to dump REUNION & instead do a "Dallas-like daytime show" but it seems that it def came from NBC to AW through Rauch, so, yes, it absolutely could have been his (cough-another-stupid?) decision!!!! I've just begun the new Lisanti book so maybe I will find out. (I waited for the kindle version to come out.) I would apologize for being so critical & so sarcastic, too, but, well, I'm not actually sorry!  Silverman was NOT a friend to AW.  And, I believe the critique is on point & deserved! I wanted to explain why I think the timing is off for the 90 minute show to be a reaction to the GH Luke & Laura story & its hype. Because, for sure, networks & production companies did react to it! The first 90 minute show was Monday, March 5, 1979.  And, there was some unknown amount of time ahead of that with people arguing about it & then, planning it.  The Luke & Laura wedding was mid-November 1981.  They were on the run from Frank Smith & stayed overnight in Wyndham's Dept. Store early August 1980.
    • terrible at using forums and inserting photos, but jake in another world had a drag persona named doris, anyone know the episode or year? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/ffad19.jpg
    • Yes, I am familiar with Fred Silverman. Agree, the 90 minute AW a very poor decision by Silverman. I think Silverman was behind the decision to go with Texas.
    • Thanks -- you're doing God's work The Gio reveal was everything I hoped for and more. GH got it right. Head to toe, GM is a stunning physical specimen.
