I for one am glad that Jessica finally had the guts to tell Antonio how she feels about Nash. I want the rest of her family to realize that she doesn't love Antonio any more. I'm tired of the Buchanans treating Nash like an outsider.

I'm glad she told him too. This triangle has gone on too long and all three characters look like idiots. I think the family will continue to treat Nash like an outsider. My hunch is that Jess and Nash will become somewhat like Todd and Blair once were -- outlaws. The bad side is if Higley is writing, that means there will never be a payoff for Jess and Nash fans.

I also would not be suprised to see this entire Jess is sick and Antonio/Jess/Nash drag on through the summer. It really needs to end.

Fianlly Antonio knows the truth. Bree and the substitute did a great job in those scenes. I am glad that Antonio told her that he wished he never met her. I think that it would have been so much more powerful with Kamar in the role. They should have waited.

Langston/Marko- another boring teen.

Cole/Brit- Don't take away Brit's bitchbone!!!!

Nash/Clint- Wow Nash what if Jess would have chickened out again and not told Anotonio? Then Clint would know and Antonio wouldn't.

Van is in a coma- bye, bye!!! John and Christian are going to get the OPP b*stards. Layla needs to be recast.

Tate/Dad- FF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Tate a memeber of the OPP or just the red herring?

Nora/Lidsay- I love them!!! I want Nora on the front burner!!!

***Kassie's CD comes out today!!!!!!***

I think Kamar should have been in the role too. It really would not have been that much of a stretch to hold off a week until he returned. The triangle from hell has been going on since Roosevelt was in the White House. What would it have mattered?

We are getting very close to the Santi days with ALL these newbies. At that time we had the love shack brats and the Santis. Now we have all of these teens, the Harmons. It just seems the more seasoned characters are doing the backup dance for stories focusing on newbies.

I hope we now have Jess and Nash, Antonio moving close to Talia and Blair finding Todd. I want to see Viki, Dorian and Clint in a story. I would not mind Randy Mantooth staying if he were a decent guy and love interest for Viki.

I'd like to hear Kassie's CD. Hope it goes to itunes.

I agree about Kamar. He's not Oscar material, but for such a reveal, the man should have been present. NotAntonio was a really bad idea. The guy totally overacted, but again, it might not have been so bad had they waited for Kemar to return. The wretched story had been dragged out so long that a bit longer would not have hurt. Not sure anyone really cares anymore. Additionally, why was Ant shocked? NotTone played it all wrong. Ant should have been hurt, but he really saw this coming. All I saw was that part, which was enough, but ITA that Kamar should have played those scenes...

Also, raise your hand if you think Jess needed to tell Ant that she was unfaithful? It was so not necessary, but we need that to make Ant's upcoming decision more difficult. TRANSPARENT TRANSPARENT TRANSPARENT!!!!!

Just wanted to chime in...

Kamar should've been in the scenes after such a build up, but I still would've found them LOL material. I couldn't stop laughing. I know the dialogue was serious but the character of Antonio is just so over the top and the lines take on a comedic meaning.

Starr has jumped the shark. I can see her blood in the water. She is such a sap. All she does is whine about Britney. She's not tough like Langston or even remotely interesting.

Is Tate's Dad the arsonist? I saw something in the trunk of the car.

Wow. When did OLTL get so...crisp?

I just watched last week's Soapnet marathon I had tivo-ed. I really enjoyed OL last week!

This arsonist storyline is pretty neat so far.

Loving the Jess story if only to see Slezak and Williamson rock.

And the Starr/Cole storyline, although the musical stuff is SO STUPID, is great stuff when they are alone.

Marty/Miles/Nat/John is the clear weak spot, IMO. I like the lady who plays Marty (her name escapes me), and I lover her on SUN, but she is NOT Marty. So wrong.

I have a tendency of loving new shows because it's fresh, and I'm not used to them, but I liked it.

Since one of OLTL's besetting problems is that Higley has no sense of character or motivation, it makes more sense that an indifferent or new viewer might like the show...for three months or so. By that time, Higley will have rewritten her own history - and in such a way that nothing will make any sense. The focus groups are no doubt aimed at catching a new viewer's eye rather than keeping longtime viewers.

The OPP story could be a great concept, and could make for great OLTL soap. If you didn't see Tate angling after Adrianna (the couch scene) or flirting with Layla, one mightn't have a lot of trouble with him as the OPP leader - seemingly unaware that he has already set up and tried to kill her dear cousin Christian and set fire to her brother's bar. You might forgive that Viki isn't calling out editorials in the Banner against this menace, or that the Llanview PD doesn't seem to WANT to do anything -- even as the group targets members of the DA's office and police department. You might even forgive Nora getting targetted twice, once each sweeps as her only story. If you didn't see Vincent set up Christian in boxing, acting like a thug, you might buy him as an earnest young black business man/life coach for Natalie. You certainly wouldn't mind him as a replacement for Tim Stickney's RJ.

Todd looking for his son, disappearing, seems like classic soap to a new viewer. Those who watched RH's comings and goings aren't as forgiving...those who have watched him get stabbed, shot, chained to a bed, framed and executed for a murder may not excuse Todd being set up AGAIN. The problem in this case is that it is TOO classic. For Todd to be a credible bad man, he needs desperately to get in his own licks now.

The HEPC story may seem exciting to someone just watching this sweeps. They haven't suffered throught the prior two years of this triangle. It looks like movement, and lots of it. Never mind that the HepC and liver cancer are coming out of the blue. Never mind that most of this family was missing in action two weeks ago.

Starr and Cole may seem cute to a new viewer. They never watched KA as Starr going toe to toe with Asa Buchanan to get what she wanted, arranging for a pie in the face and a piranha in the bath for Max Holden. Whining about Britney may be classic soap, but it ain't lizard-lovin independent Starr.

King, I think the show has picked up in the last week or two. I also think it's about time. I too enjoy Erika and Bree. Last week was some really nice Erika and Robin stuff too. Today I really enjoyed Natalie and Jessica.

The Miles/Marty/John/Nat story doesn't do it for me, but I've never been big on John and Natalie. I actually like the chemistry between Miles and Natalie.

Somedays I sense a new writing influence. Other days I think, oh what were you thinking??? So today's I'm not unhappy with OLTL.

I tend to go back and forth a lot with the show more love and hate then indifference

I'm glad to have it all out there, though I can't seem to care that much.

I like John and Marty, though I wish they would have brought on Christina Chambers on as someone else and not Marty because's she's just not Marty

I really liked the Jessica/Natalie scenes today, finally got some sisterly bonding.

Wished Cris hadn't of pulled Antonio off of Nash so fast. And I agree with everyone that it should have been Kamar in those scenes, but RM did do a good job with the material.

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.

    • I'm not sure who wanted them to dump REUNION & instead do a "Dallas-like daytime show" but it seems that it def came from NBC to AW through Rauch, so, yes, it absolutely could have been his (cough-another-stupid?) decision!!!! I've just begun the new Lisanti book so maybe I will find out. (I waited for the kindle version to come out.) I would apologize for being so critical & so sarcastic, too, but, well, I'm not actually sorry!  Silverman was NOT a friend to AW.  And, I believe the critique is on point & deserved! I wanted to explain why I think the timing is off for the 90 minute show to be a reaction to the GH Luke & Laura story & its hype. Because, for sure, networks & production companies did react to it! The first 90 minute show was Monday, March 5, 1979.  And, there was some unknown amount of time ahead of that with people arguing about it & then, planning it.  The Luke & Laura wedding was mid-November 1981.  They were on the run from Frank Smith & stayed overnight in Wyndham's Dept. Store early August 1980.
    • terrible at using forums and inserting photos, but jake in another world had a drag persona named doris, anyone know the episode or year? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/ffad19.jpg
    • Yes, I am familiar with Fred Silverman. Agree, the 90 minute AW a very poor decision by Silverman. I think Silverman was behind the decision to go with Texas.
