I don't think it's a southern thing. And Bob, Kim, Nancy and Lisa didn't even get ONE goodbye scene with Casey! I could have cut TIIC a little slack, had those frackin' idiots just shelved ONE day of repetitive Teen Talk to let THE HUGHES FAMILY say goodbye to the ONLY member of the family to really have any airtime in the past two years!!

As for Gwen....she's moaned about how unflappin'worthy she is nearly every day since the end of the Adam story. Has she done anything but bitch and moan? Has she resolved to repay her karmic debt? Has she professed some new understanding of the human condition? Has she decided that maybe she should finally honor the promise she made to Carly to watch out for her niece and nephew(s)? Or even just professed a new understanding of Carly's tendency to land in trouble? No...she just acts like the frackin' victim she insists she isn't. I'm sick of it.

I don't even understand what Casey said when he apologized. It sounded like he said "I'm sorry I kept the baby from you." and that doesn't make a bit of sense. Had he apologized for being one heck of a pig to her while she was trying to prove it was his kid, that I could have agreed with, even though he's apologized for that before.

How do you know it has anything to do with budget? As for getting rid of the Maddie/Vienna scenes I think those were really crucial for the episode as a whole. They showed how Vienna and Maddie are close now. They served to further open Henry's idiotic eyes open about the woman a million guys would kill for and could have been his. Not to mention Maddie finally realized that what happened last night was all about Casey truly loving her and wanting her to become, "a better woman" as Vienna put it. Plus like I said this is an immediate family moment. Its not some type of celebration. Hes going to JAIL.

I don't think its a southern thing. I live in NC and I don't think my entire family would be there to see me carted off to prison as if it were some type of "special moment". Sorry but thats just embrassing and sad. Instead this would be a PRIVATE matter. Yes my family would know and I'd probably say byes to a few people but in reality I'd keep this under wraps as much as possible. Yes ATWT should have had a day earlier where Bob and the rest of them said their goodbyes but they didn't and it truly didn't affect the episode for me since I know I honestly wouldn't want to be surrounded by everyone's pity looks and crying.

And why wasn't Craig there too. Yes, he hasn't cared for Casey. But it would have added to the drama with him there along with the rest of the Hughes family.

Jean and Chris are hacks who are ruining this show to the ground.

Y'know, I always thought Craig should take one of Margo's sons under his wing as the "heir apparent", since Bryant's dead. Imagine the family drama as Margo discovered her son turning over to the "dark side" under Craig's tutelage.

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
